Review: ABBA: You Can Dance for Wii

Abba: You Can Dance

An impressive portion of Abba’s catalog has been compiled into the Wii game Abba: You Can Dance, from the developers of Just Dance. If they’re going to dedicate a dancing game to one band, this was the right choice. Because after all, if you can’t dance to Abba, you probably shouldn’t be dancing.

Review: Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked (video game)

You haven’t seen dancing till you’ve seen the Alvin, Simon, Theodore and the lovely Chippettes kicking it and kick it they do to classic dance hits in the Chipwrecked video game.

Nintendo lets loose the 3DS, DS and Wii early 2012 game lineup

We all pretty much know that the game season is experiencing a temporary lull. Nothing big’s going to be coming out until next year, which is conveniently only a few weeks away. Nintendo is aware that many people will be getting gift cards this holiday season, and wants to help them figure out how to spend it by releasing lineup of its planned 2012 releases. At least, all the 2012 games we’ll be seeing in the first few months of the new year.

There’s actually a lot to look forward to next year, particularly if you own a 3DS or Wii. Sadly, DS owners are going to be left behind as 2012 begins. Let’s see what games will be released between January and March, 2012…

Cyber Monday 2011: GameStop’s sale

GameStop’s Cyber Monday sale is live. The retailer has discounted several games across all platforms for this big day of online spending. Some of the deals from last week have made a return, but some have been altered a bit. GameStop has decided to give away bonus items with some products. For example, FEAR 2: Project Origin and a t-shirt is being given away with Lord of the Rings: War in the North or four other games. Metroid: Other M is being thrown into a Wii bundle as well.

Gamestop holiday sale has 11 pages of deals

GameStop put out its latest ad on November 27. Some of the prices are valid until December 3, while others expire today. You’ve got a handful of hours to take part in GameStop’s holiday sale on several items. The best games will go back up to their normal in-store prices on Monday. GameStop will have a Cyber Monday sale as well. You may get a second chance to scoop up any deals you missed tomorrow online.

Best Buy’s Cyber sale starts today

Black Friday is gone. We hope you found whatever you were looking for and only suffered from minor wounds in the process. The fun isn’t over quite yet though. Cyber Monday is less than a day away. More sales (although probably not as good as Black Friday) will be coming down the pipeline from a lot of retailers. Some of them are putting their sales online early. Best Buy has done just that.

Black Friday 2011: GameStop’s 3-day sale is live

Best Buy isn’t the only retailer participating in a three-day holiday sale. GameStop has posted a number of deals as well. They’re aren’t as numerous and varied as what Best Buy is offering, but you can pick up Kinect at a steep discount if you’re willing to go pre-owned. GameStop is mostly advertising new (not pre-owned) games. That could be useful information if you’re against pre-owned games.

Best Buy Thanksgiving Weekend Sale is live

Best Buy has a good reason for you to spend some money today. The store’s Thanksgiving weekend sale started today. From now until Saturday, Best Buy has discounted nearly 200 videogame-related products online. Chances are if you were waiting for a game to drop in price, today is your lucky day.

Kmart Black Friday sale doesn’t disappoint on the gaming deals

Like clockwork, another Black Friday ad has leaked. This time, we’re taking a look at Kmart’s Black Friday offerings. Kmart has spent the past year or so getting gamers in the door by giving away gaming coupons with new releases. Seeing as how Black Friday prices are lower than usual anyway, gaming coupons aren’t playing a big role this time. The only gaming coupon offered is worth $25 after purchasing a 3DS bundle with Super Mario Land 3D. Everything else has been discounted by at least $5.

Keep on swingin’ in the world of Rotastic [video]

Rotastic is a new Xbox Live Arcade (800 MS Points) title brought to us by French developer Dancing Dots and its publisher Focus Home Interactive. Rotastic has a simple concept, but that doesn’t mean the game is easy. In Rotastic, you swing your character around circle pegs in an effort to collect multi-colored gems.
