Review: Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked (video game)
You haven’t seen dancing till you’ve seen the Alvin, Simon, Theodore and the lovely Chippettes kicking it and kick it they do to classic dance hits in the Chipwrecked video game.
Amazon’s December 23 Deal of the Day will please Kinect owners
Attention internet shoppers. By now, you’ve probably realized shopping online is futile as there’s pretty much no chance the gift will arrive by Christmas. However, you could always get something and then lie, saying there was some unforeseen delay as you give the gift later. That may be an especially good idea if you know more »

Review: Alvin and the Chipunks: Chipwrecked movie
Alvin, up to his usual hijinks again and has managed to get Dave and the crew shipwrecked on a deserted island in the middle of nowhere.
As if that isn’t bad enough Simon was bitten by a spider and now thinks he’s a French stud named Simone, Eleanor broke her leg and there is a crazy lady living on the island that talks to various sports balls. Not to mention the Chipmunks old manager Ian is back and dressed like a giant bird. And that’s only the first 20 minutes of the movie.
Amazon has Xbox 360, family and adventure game deals for December 14
Ever since Black Friday 2011, Amazon’s had tons of various and limited time video game deals for people to choose from. Today, there’s a decent Deal of the Day offer, a general sale on kids’ games and many direct download games are also reduced. Frankly, there’s a lot to choose from and it seems like more arrive each week. So let’s go through what Amazon has for us for December 14, 2011.
First, the Amazon video game Deal of the Day is on the 4gb Xbox 360. The console isn’t on sale, it’s still $199.99 as usual. However, today you also get $50 worth of Amazon credit when you buy it…
Nintendo lets loose the 3DS, DS and Wii early 2012 game lineup
We all pretty much know that the game season is experiencing a temporary lull. Nothing big’s going to be coming out until next year, which is conveniently only a few weeks away. Nintendo is aware that many people will be getting gift cards this holiday season, and wants to help them figure out how to spend it by releasing lineup of its planned 2012 releases. At least, all the 2012 games we’ll be seeing in the first few months of the new year.
There’s actually a lot to look forward to next year, particularly if you own a 3DS or Wii. Sadly, DS owners are going to be left behind as 2012 begins. Let’s see what games will be released between January and March, 2012…
GameStop’s December 7-13, 2011 ad discounts bundles and Namco Bandai games
GameStop’s latest sale ad is pretty darn robust this week. I mean, it’s not often that the store actually offers some pretty darn good and substantial discounts, and that’s just what it’s doing December 7-13, 2011. Not only will two 3DS bundles be on sale for a few days, but GameStop has also put together custom PS3 and Wii holiday bundles. Oh, and some Namco Bandai games are on sale.
Let’s start with the bundles…
Nintendo Downloads for December 1, 2011
Hey everyone. Time for more Nintendo downloads. Let me just warn you, this is one of those weeks where you could just sleepwalk through the entire update. Nothing to see here, move along. You know, that kind of thing. Of course, that’s what happens when only four new games are released. Especially when one is another overpriced entry in a PC to DSiWare port. (Yes, there’s another House M.D. episode out this week. Go get the Windows PC version instead, as its cheaper and you get all the episodes at once.)
Though I guess you could give Double Bloob kudos for being the first game ever where the point is to save a captured baby dolphin from aliens.
Yup, you read that right.
Gamertell’s Nintendo Download pick for the week would be Adventure Island (3DS) if it weren’t overpriced at $3.99.…
Review: Monster High: Ghoul Spirit for DS
I know now how Roger Ebert feels when he reviews a Twilight movie.
Monster High: Ghoul Spirit is not meant for me. Although I appreciate the idea of a high school filled with undead students, I have to quit paying attention when they worry more about filling their brains than eating them. But you don’t have to be within a game’s target demographic to know if it’s good, and Monster High: Ghoul Spirit for Nintendo DS is not good…
