Harry Potter gets his own PS3 bundle

Warner Brothers may be locking the Harry Potter movie series away in some vault after December 29, 2011, but people are sure getting every opportunity to experience Harry Potter overkill before that happens. The latest announcement actually isn’t from Warner Bros. even. It’s from Sony. It seems a Harry Potter 3D Experience Movie Pack PS3 has abruptly appeared!

While it doesn’t come with any kind of special PS3, or even a lightning bolt sticker to customize the standard 160gb black system included, it could definitely be perfect for any Harry Potter series fan…

Buy your Harry Potter movies before December 29, 2011

Well Potter fans, it may be time to adjust your holiday wish lists. Warner Bros. has decided it wants to be a buzzkill by locking away every Harry Potter movie ever. Yes, this is for real. The company has decided that if people don’t buy physical copies of the eight movies before December 29, 2011, they won’t be able to buy them at all. After date, they’ll stop being shipped to stores.

It’s quite ridiculous and seems like Warner Bros. has planned this in an attempt make people scramble and buy the physical copies of the Harry Potter movies so the company can make a quick buck…

You know how you sometimes come across a game, tv show, book, etc that’s just so good you have to share it? Priest Blu-rays contain Twisted Metal demo, Uncharted 3 trailer

Movie buffs who want to watch vampires and priests throw down can also get previews of two upcoming PS3 blockbusters. The 3D Blu-Ray of vampire thriller Priest contains a 3D demo for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The 2D Blu-Ray contains a playable demo of Twisted Metal. Sony has been doing this sort of cross promotion for a while. District 9 had a God of War 3 demo, and Battle:Los Angeles came with a chance to check out the gameplay of Resistance 3.

Target wants your old graphing calculators and DVDs

Target and Nextworth’s trade-in program is growing. The program that allowed customers to trade in select electronics items for Target giftcards first launched back in August 2010 in a few select stores, then gradually expanded to include 1,490 participating locations. At first, the store was just accepting video game consoles and games, digital cameras, iOS devices, cell phones, laptops, GPS units and eReaders. Now, with the new school year starting and the program approaching its one year anniversary, it’s accepting graphing calculators and DVDs…

Nintendo Downloads for July 21, 2011

Morning everyone! This week’s Nintendo Download update is pretty basic for the most part. There are three new DSiWare games and one new WiiWare game, which everyone expected. The small surprises can be found in the 3DS eShop. Without any fanfare, 3DS owners have received the free Nintendo Video app and a new 3D Classics game, 3D Classics: Xevious. So good for all those 3DS owners who have been waiting for another exclusive game or app.
