Review: Alvin and the Chipunks: Chipwrecked movie

Alvin, up to his usual hijinks again and has managed to get Dave and the crew shipwrecked on a deserted island in the middle of nowhere.

As if that isn’t bad enough Simon was bitten by a spider and now thinks he’s a French stud named Simone, Eleanor broke her leg and there is a crazy lady living on the island that talks to various sports balls. Not to mention the Chipmunks old manager Ian is back and dressed like a giant bird. And that’s only the first 20 minutes of the movie.

EA calls Rice a real-life superhero, and believes he’s an ideal spokesman for a game that features nine of the world’s deadliest descents.

Harry Potter gets his own PS3 bundle

Warner Brothers may be locking the Harry Potter movie series away in some vault after December 29, 2011, but people are sure getting every opportunity to experience Harry Potter overkill before that happens. The latest announcement actually isn’t from Warner Bros. even. It’s from Sony. It seems a Harry Potter 3D Experience Movie Pack PS3 has abruptly appeared!

While it doesn’t come with any kind of special PS3, or even a lightning bolt sticker to customize the standard 160gb black system included, it could definitely be perfect for any Harry Potter series fan…

Buy your Harry Potter movies before December 29, 2011

Well Potter fans, it may be time to adjust your holiday wish lists. Warner Bros. has decided it wants to be a buzzkill by locking away every Harry Potter movie ever. Yes, this is for real. The company has decided that if people don’t buy physical copies of the eight movies before December 29, 2011, they won’t be able to buy them at all. After date, they’ll stop being shipped to stores.

It’s quite ridiculous and seems like Warner Bros. has planned this in an attempt make people scramble and buy the physical copies of the Harry Potter movies so the company can make a quick buck…

Angry Birds creator Rovio’s initial public offering might come in 2012

Rovio, the Finnish game maker that let the Angry Birds loose on the world, could go public as early as 2012. That’s what Rovio Chief Marketing Officer Peter Vesterbacka told Bloomberg.

These birds are nothing short of a pop culture phenom with numerous games, plush toys and even a movie deal in the works. The game concept couldn’t be more simple: The player uses a slingshot to hurl birds at pigs who stole their eggs. That might not seem like the foundation for an empire with an estimated value of around $1 billion but it has been so far.
