The holiday shopping season is down to the wire. Hanukkah has started, Christmas is this weekend and there are probably still people out there who haven’t finished shopping. Now is the time for last minute, somewhat awesome ads. Surprisingly, GameStop has one of them. It’s December 21-27, 2011 sale ad has Xbox 360 deals and sale games to choose from this week.

Only new Vita games net players trophies

ps_vita

We already knew Sony wanted to get more money out of people when it came to the Vita by requiring a factory reset if you decided you wanted to switch to a different PlayStation Network account on the system. Now, it turns out they want to get more money out of people when it comes to games. Like the PS3, the Vita allows people to earn trophies by meeting certain objectives in games. Unlike the PS3, only new Vita games can boost your overall gamerscore.

Here’s how it works…

Toys R Us’ December 18-24, 2011 ad covers all game and electronic deals

toys_r_us_december_18_24_2011_sale

If you haven’t done your holiday shopping yet, you may be in a little trouble. Christmas is this week, after all. Fortunately, lots of stores are holding last ditch sales, with Toys R Us being one of then. It has a number of reduced electronics and games between December 18-24, 2011. Plus, it has something else going for it to help shoppers. Between December 20-25, 2011, Toys R Us stores will be open 24 hours. How bad do you feel for those employees?

Since this is the last chance for a lot of people to shop, there are games, accessories, consoles and other electronics on sale. Let’s start by looking at some of the more expensive items that are reduced this week…

Best Buy cuts another $100 from the PS3 3D display bundle

Yesterday, Best Buy’s weekly circular had the PS3 3D display bundle on sale for $399. Considering the original price is $499, I’d say it’s a decent deal. Today, Best Buy’s website shows the same bundle for $299. It’s amazing how a mere 24 hours can change a customer’s outlook on products these days.

Kmart December 18 – 24 ad is heavy with holiday gaming discounts

Tomorrow will bring in the last week before Christmas. That means Sunday’s ad circulars will contain last-minute gift ideas at discounted prices. The Sunday ad for Kmart made its way to my mailbox a couple days ago, and it has a lot of gaming deals lurking inside. There are only a couple instances in which being a Shop Your Way Rewards member comes in handy, but for the most part, these discounts are for everyone.

Target has multiple, last minute game and electronics sales December 18-24

We’re getting into the home stretch. Christmas is only a little over a week away. While most people are already prepared, stores are hoping there are some people who have still put off their shopping until that last minute. That’s when they’re hoping to swoop in with sale ads with better than usual deals. Target’s done just that, and has released it’s December 18-24, 2011 sale ad early online…

Get fit with day 18 of Amazon’s 19 Days of Deals (updated)

The Amazon 19 Days of Deals in the video game section is almost over. It’s been quite a trip, with some days having over a hundred games and accessories discounted. December 16, 2011 is day 18 of the sale, and it takes up to 40% off a variety of sports and fitness video games and accessories. In addition, there’s also one video game Lightning Deal.

The Lightning Deal won’t appear until 8pm PST tonight, so you have plenty of time to think about it. The hint says it will be a Razer gaming mouse at the lowest price ever…
