Fan-made adventures are the way to go

Since game developers essentially stopped making adventure games (the exception may be Telltale which has a few really good games available on its site), I pretty much have to rely on fan-made games, which can be pretty good. The developer I want to talk about is a guy who goes by Yahtzee who has created a series of free, downloadable PC-based adventure games.

Yahtzee’s point-and-click game called 5 Days a Stranger is the first of four downright scary games. The other three games in the series follow the same concept: You always find yourself stuck in the middle of the same situation as the “DeFoe Manor Incident” as it becomes known (you really have to play all the games to get the whole story) and you never know who you can trust and what action will cause you to be killed.
