Two icons square off in Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney

TGS 2010: Capcom to bring Ace Attorney Investigations 2

Appropriately enough, it’ll be called Ace Attorney Investigations 2 Development must be pretty far along, despite the recent announcement, as Capcom has stated it will be playable at the 2010 Tokyo Game Show…

Capcom releases Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney DLC

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney was released as a WiiWare download all the way back at the beginning of January, 2010, so I’m sure many early buyers have long since finished and grown weary of the game. Well, you’ve got a good reason to go back to it now. Capcom has just released a 100 Nintendo Point ($1) piece of downloadable content for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. DS owners should recognize it, as it is the port of the DS exclusive fifth case.

“Episode 5: Rise from the Ashes” was an original case created specifically for the DS port of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney that made special use of the DS’ capabilities (like the touch screen). It wasn’t included in the original WiiWare release, but now Wii owners can pick it up for a pittance…

Starting today, Miles Edgeworth is the Ace Attorney star

I am SO excited. Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth is out February 16, 2010! Hey, that’s today!

Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth is a spin-off of the Ace Attorney series. Instead of acting as a defense attorney protecting wrongly accused clients, you step into the shoes of prosecutor Miles Edgeworth and attempt to bring the guilty to justice. So it’s somewhat similar, even if only in spirit, to the main Ace Attorney games.

The game is dividied into two parts, investigation and interrogation. You must use logic while searching for evidence and investigating the crime scenes. Then, you must hear, persue, press and confront witness’ and suspect’s testimony…

Ace Attorney WiiWare games coming to North America, too

It was big news when everyone discovered that the Ace Attorney DS games were being adapted for the Wii in Japan. It gets even better though, it’s coming to North America as well. Capcom has just announced that it will start releasing the Phoenix Wright WiiWare games in North America in January, 2010, for 1,000 Nintendo Points / $10 each.

They will come out in three parts. First Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney‘s first four cases will apear on WiiWare in January, 2010. If you want the final case, which was a DS exclusive, you have to wait until May, 2010, to download it for 100 Wii Points / $1. The second game, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice for All will debut in March, 2010. The third game, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations will debut May, 2010…

Comic Con 2009: A closer look at Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth for DS

Miles Edgeworth is probably one of the greatest prosecutors that ever lived. He is great in fact that he has his own game, and I was lucky enough to try it out this year at Comic Con.

Capcom’s Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth is the newest in the Ace Attorney series. You will recognize Edgeworth from the first game, as the rival (and friend) of Phoenix Wright. This time he is the main character and you control him through out the game.

Comic Con 2009: Capcom’s lineup, announcements and a freebie

Game maker Capcom is at Comic Con 2009 and showing off a few of its games as well as hosting panel discussions, showing off game demos and giving away free game levels.

Con attendees will be able to try the upcoming fighting game Fate/unlimited at Comic Con. The PSP game will be released via the PlayStation Store September 2009.

Capcom also announced that Ace Attorney Investigation: Miles Edgeworth, will be released February 16, 2010, for the DS. According to Capcom, players “take on the role of famed prosecutor Miles Edgeworth, a memorable rival of charismatic legal eagle Phoenix Wright.” This game is also on display and playable at the Con.

Also, for attendees who remembered to bring their PSPs, Capcom is offering eight free Monster Hunter Freedom Unite quests to download. Capcom warns that “only 6 quests will fit on a memory stick, so players should bring either two sticks, or another friend along that has their own PSP and copy of the game.” The levels will be playable at the Con as well.

This Week’s Famitsu: New prosecutor game starring Miles Edgeworth

The most recent issue of the Japanese magazine Weekly Famitsu has leaked Capcom’s “Gyakuten Not Saiban” project a little early: a new Ace Attorney spin-off called Gyakuten Renji, meaning “Turnabout Prosecutor,” starring Miles Edgeworth, the iconic and all-too-frilly rival of series hero Phoenix Wright.

The game will sport a different from the previous mainline AAs where you’ll actually get to see your character in…
