Dynasty Warriors Online coming to North America and Europe

Dynasty Warriors Online has been out in Japan for a long time, but it is making its North American and European debut sometime in the future. Dynasty Warriors Online is a free-to-play MMO that takes everything you may have enjoyed from offline Dynasty Warriors and crams it into an ongoing experience. Allow me to give you a crash course in Dynasty Warriors in case you haven’t heard of the franchise.

Awesome Idea: Aeria’s Fun or Refund promotion

This is the way game companies should do business. Aeria Games & Entertainment, Inc., has launched a month-long promotion (April 2009) that guarantees gamers will enjoy their games or get a refund.

The company’s press release goes a bit further than just guaranteeing “fun,” but states a refund will be issued “if players do not have the most fun they possibly can.”

Yep, if you don’t have fun – a completely subjective state of being – while playing an Aeria game, you get your money back. The catch is that the refund will be of Aeria Points, the currency used to purchase in-game items at Item Malls including avatar outfits, pet and items that help leveling.

Spread the love: MMO Valentine’s Day 2009 events

Valentine’s Day is quickly coming, but perhaps your loved one isn’t nearby. If you’re in the middle of a long distance love affair, it may be a good time to check out a free-to-play MMO, and take part in one of the special Valentine’s Day events to show your special someone just how much you care about him or her.

After all, nothing says devotion like staying at home, on your computer, for a minimum of two hours, all so you can complete certain objectives together and maybe earn some kind of special token that displays your feelings.

So let’s look at what some MMOs are up to…

Last Chaos getting some very organized, new additions

It may be time to take another look at Last Chaos.

Aeria Games has just announced a massive update to its free-to-play, massive multiplayer online game that offers new character, pet, item and adventuring options. There are so many new and exciting things being added into the game that players who may have left due to boredom or apathy might find themselves lured back in. (After all, no matter how amazing an MMO is, once you’ve reached a certain level or point, it doesn’t have the same appeal.)

There are quite a few striking additions with the potential to alter how you play the game. The first is…

How To: Save money while feeding your need to game

There are, however, are some ways to appease the habit and get more bang for your buck. You can take everything that you’ll read to heart as advice from a fellow poor gamer along with some of the advice given to us by MSNBC. These tips should help ease some of your monetary burdens when it comes to gaming…

Filefront giving away 20,000 beta keys for Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine

OK, so maybe World of Warcraft just wasn’t your thing. Maybe you prefer your demons to have anime features rather than looking like something that came out of a Lord of the Rings for babies coloring book. That’s fine, there is nothing wrong with you and that’s why Aeria Games is bringing us the Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine MMO. An MMO that all of us horror/emo gamers can relate too.

If you are looking for a way into this beta, Filefront has your back and will be giving away 20,000 beta keys to participate in a month-long beta test.

Aeria games will be publishing Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Online

As a follow-up to yesterday’s rumor report on Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine, Aeria Games has confirmed that it is going to localize the MMORPG. Aeria notified Siliconera to confirm the release, and also issued an official press release.

Aeria is going to be responsible for releasing Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Online in both North America and Europe, and will be translating the game into English, French, German and Spanish. As mentioned in yesterday’s article, it was developed by Cave and published by Atlus in Japan and acquired a large fan following. That about covers it when it comes to breaking information from the press release.,,

Rumor: Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine could be licensed by Aeria Games

A recent story at Siliconera discusses the possibility of the Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine free-to-play MMORPG, Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine being licensed by Aeria Games. The idea comes from a forum post was created by an Aeria Games Game Master named Taz 002 and is a poll asking if forum members would be interested in playing Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine. It has links to Japanese YouTube videos of gameplay footage and information on the game.

On page 22 of the thread, a user named Sivh posts a quote from another Aeria Games Game Master known as Superman0X in which the Game Master states that Aeria Games has acquired the English and German rights to Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine, and questions why English and German, and not Spanish. Superman0X returns to comment and state that English and German versions are being worked on at that moment…
