age of reckoning
E3 2010: Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millenium Online trailer, screenshots debut
After the release of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, some people were wondering when an MMO based on the Warhammer 40,000 universe. A Warhammer 40k had also been rumored and wished for quite a while though nothing ever came of the rumors and the wishes lead to nothing themselves. That was true, at least until now.
Sure it was confirmed. Nothing at all, even in terms of basic concept art specifically for the game, had been released when it was confirmed. So even a group saying they’re working on something, especially if a tight enough lid kept on it, it still seems like a rumor. It even still felt like a rumor when they announced that the game would pay for itself if they reached only (only being used in comparison to more established MMOs) one million subscribers. Again, due to the lack of even concept art specifically for the game outside of codex art that could be screwed up in translation from rulebook to computer game, that was true until now.

A press release issued earlier this week (October 17, 2008) by Mythic Entertainment describes the Knights of the Blazing sun as…

On September 18, 2008, the servers for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) went live in North America, Europe and the Oceanic territories. Now that the game is out of the beta stage and is open for public consumption, players are invited to join in the mayhem.
WAR is the grim MMORPG version of a gothic world that has literally gone to Hell. Some parts of the world may have once been a paradise. However, wars between anyone who can fight and the forces of Chaos have essentially put the world on a path raging toward ruin.
As shown to those who participated in the beta version of WAR, it will be played like a mixture of..
