Gamertell Review: Alien Swarm for Windows PC

It’s rare when you can actually apply the “you get what you pay for” thought to something cheap and have it mean something. It usually means that you went for the lowest price or bidder and the workmanship will likely be pretty shoddy. Still, sometimes you find something that is cheap or, in this case, free and it’s actually a pretty strong product.

That is what Alien Swarm is. It’s a lot of software that works pretty well for the price of nothing. Hurray! Time to delve deeper…

If one were teaching a class in how to make an embarrassing game, these two disasters would be worthy textbooks.

Rebellion Lead Designer Alex Moore addressed the elephant (or Alien queen, as it were) in the room. Despite a checkered past, Moore believes Rebellion will prove itself here…

Japanese publisher Sega seems to have no love for the long-delayed, canceled and then reborn Aliens: Colonial Marines as it has decided once more to push the game’s release back yet again for a possible 2010 release, instead of its original Q1 2009 release.

Originally in development for the Playstation 2 back in 2001, the game was dropped by then publisher EA. In 2008, Texas based Gearbox Software reported that it was developing Aliens: Colonial Marines for all current-gen systems. Sega would be the publishers.
