Kinect and Move are essential to videogame success this holiday season

The July NPD’s were released last week. The one thing we can take away from the results were that software sales saw a slump and the Xbox 360 S helped consoles sales tremendously. As we approach the holiday season, more big name games are scheduled to released. Before the end of the year we will see Call of Duty: Black Ops, Halo: Reach, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and LittleBigPlanet 2 all released very close to each other. Analyst says hardcore gamers shouldn’t review casual Wii titles

According to market research firm, iSuppli, the Wii will have the largest installed-base among the current generation consoles by the end of 2008.

iSuppli expects Wii’s installed-base by year-end to be 30.2 million units, up from 18 million in 2007. On the other hand, the installed-base of the Xbox 360 is expected to be…

analyst predicts Take Two take over

Videogame analysts have time and again clamored about a possible take over of Take Two. It seemed that Take Two chairman Strauss Zelnick’s denial of any such possibility had silenced all those analysts. But that is no longer the case, as Janco Partners’ analyst Mike Hickey has broken the brief silence over the issue with more »
