The nominees for a Webby Award for Best Gaming-Related site have been announced, featuring a unique mix of functional and visually stimulating websites. Hosted by AOL, the Webby Awards recognizes the coolest and most creative websites (teenage MySpace page designers need not apply). There are more than 65 categories and, in some cases, nominees are entered in multiple categories. This is the Webby’s 14th year.

Another fine video game institution has fallen. Well, sorta. Actually, the site’s business section is leaving AOL, working with Hammersuit LLC and moving to a new URL.

According to a message posted today (May 14, 2009) on GameDaily BIZ(see the full message below) subscribers are being asked to head to a different URL with the name IndustryGamers and subscribe to a yet-to-exist newsletter.
