Apple App Store gaming update for the week of November 23 to 30, 2009

Well, the holiday shopping season has officially been kicked into full swing, hopefully you had good luck over the weekend and on Cyber Monday (which is why we’ve pushed this post to Super Tuesday, or whatever you want to call it). But if you didn’t manage to find that special something, no worries as we are beginning to roll out our annual holiday gift guides.

As for your top weekly apps this week we have Square-Enix’s Hills and Rivers Remain leading the charge with The Escapee trying to hide from the Grinchmas’s snowball assault, and finally a Dragon Sword RPG not to be confused with Bioware’s Dragon Age: Origins. There are also plenty of Christmas-themed games to get you into the holiday cheer as well!

Apple App Store gaming update for the week of October 19 to October 25, 2009

It’s the last week of October (2009) and we are counting down to the holiday release rush on the App Store, which kicks off with the handful of Halloween apps releases including CDE’s Crush the Zomibes, the free Wordsearch Halloween and Little G’s Halloween Adventure. Other big notables are Guardian Soul, Groovin’ Blocks and NBA Live. So get tricked or get treated or simply get some apps my friends.

Apple App Store gaming update for the week of August 31 to September 6 , 2009

What’s the talk of this week? No, it’s nothing to do with Labor Day here in the States, it’s instead Apple’s mystery event on September 9, 2009. What’s going to be at the event? Only Apple knows but there will sure be some Rock ‘n’ Roll.

Until then, here’s this week’s list of gaming apps to help you get time on your side until Wednesday.

Apple App Store gaming update for the week of August 17 to August 23, 2009

Another week of Apple App Store games has arrived for your downloading pleasure but I’m betting you’re too preoccupied anticipating the release of Snow Leopard for your other Apple device, right?

Well instead of twiddling your fingers waiting for UPS to bring you your copy, why not play a game instead?

Apple App Store gaming update for the week of August 3 to August 9, 2009

No witty banter this week, I’m busy hanging out with Simon the Sorcerer. But, if adventure games aren’t your thing, maybe one of these many other apps are…

Apple App Store gaming update for the week of July 27 to August 2, 2009

Hands down, this week’s top pick is Space Invaders Infinity Gene. Imagine, Space Invaders and Rez having a love child and that’s pretty much what you can expect. But if Space Invaders isn’t your kind of thing, there are plenty of other games to keep you entertained…

Apple App Store gaming update for the week of July 20 to July 26, 2009

The Apple App Store gaming update is Gamertell’s weekly look at the previous week’s Apple App Store game releases. We cover them all – good and not so good – in their respective categories with a breakdown of the great games and the free games right where you want ‘em, at the top and in your face. The list is available every Monday, right as you are about to start that long work week.

Apple App Store gaming update for the week of July 13 to July 19, 2009

It’s a slow week for the year-old, 1.5 billion app packed store, so it can’t be helped that this week’s list is a little thin.

At least Sega takes us to the streets with an emulated port of the classic brawler: Streets of Rage, and for those of you looking to cool off this summer but are lacking in water parks, there is free admission to Waterslide Extreme. So kick off those shoes and settle down with this week’s gaming app releases.

Did you folks get your iPhone 3GSs yet? If not, I highly recommend you do it, especially if you are going to be doing a lot of gaming. The differences between 3G and 3GS are like night and day and it really makes you wonder why the 3G was ever released at all.

Apple App Store gaming update for the week of June 8 – June 14, 2009

So that happened. I have to say this is pretty aggressive for Apple releasing this feature packed upgrade at the same price point and dropping the price of the current model. It really makes you wonder why anybody actually paid almost $600 for the original iPhone, eh?

This obviously puts the Palm Pre in a danger zone where it’s only hopes of salvation come in the form of the iPhone 3GS not being available to cash burning consumers. AT&T is already sold out of pre-orders so your only hope is Apple itself. I managed to eek in a pre-order so let’s see when it actually gets to me for hands-on coverage. Until then, here are some apps to check out while you wait…
