Atlus and Ace Team are currently working on a downloadable PS3 and Xbox 360 game called Rock of Ages, which should be ready quite soon. To promote that and give fans a giggle, the cooked up a fake plagarism claim, involving a supposed indie PC game called Pebble of Time.

Minecraft’s April Fools’ update is a Minecraft Store

Mojang’s got its April Fools’ gag in effect, and it playfully pokes at Valve’s Team Fortress 2. More specifically, at the cash shop. See, there’s now a fake Minecraft microtransaction shop filled with all kinds of ridiculous and overpriced items. Oh, and Steve Co. Supply Crates have been added to the game.

Nyko’s April Fool’s joke adds glasses to the 3DS’ glasses-free experience

It’s April Fool’s, which means it’s time for fake press releases and announcements! Nyko’s got a pretty good one this year. We know the company has been working on 3DS accessories and peripherals, but none can compare to the 3D Glasses for the 3DS. Yes, for one day only, Nyko’s got some Lens-less is More 3D glasses, minus actual lenses, to help enhance your 3DS playing experience. It’ll be just like you’re in a movie theater, using their borrowed 3D glasses to watch a movie.

Nyko gets extra points for also actually making a 3D Glasses for 3DS product listing…

Rating the April Fool’s jokes – game blog edition

The grand tradition of pulling the wool over reader’s eyes on April 1st (especially in the videogame journalism business) has been going on for quite some time.
