TIcket to Ride contest winners doubled

When it comes to generosity, Days of Wonder (DoW) is clearly in contention for most generous boardgame company of 2011. To celebrate their 10th year anniversary, DoW had a map submission contest for their deservedly popular Ticket to Ride game, with top prize of $10,000 for the best map.

Asia will see PSN return tomorrow

It has been over a month in the making, but the PlayStation Network is finally going to be restored in Japan and countries in Asia. More specifically, most services will be back online in Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, Malasia, Thailand and Indonesia. Countries such as South Korea and Hong Kong will have to deal with the outage a little longer. Sony is still dedicated to completely restoring the PlayStation Network by the end of the month.

Important Importables Review: Tales of Graces F for PS3

On December 10, 2009, Namco Bandai released Tales of Graces for the Wii, the first original Tales game to debut on the system. While it had a lot of promise, including a simplified battle scheme that made it easier for beginners to adjust, it was plagued by bugs and glitches. There was even a recall, where Namco Bandai had to send out repaired discs.

Then, Namco Bandai did something that broke Wii owners’ hearts. It announced Tales of Graces F for the PS3. Just like the Tales of Vesperia PS3 port, the Tales of Graces port features lots of new content and a refind and remastered version of the game free from any unsightly issues.

Ubisoft plans development studio in Singapore

French game publisher Ubisoft already has a strong presence in Asia with two of its 17 internal development studios housed in China. Now it has opted for Singapore as the location for its new internal development studio. The publisher plans to gradually increase the staff strength at the studio, which is under construction, to 300 employees.
