Rumor: Next Assassin’s Creed takes place during the American Revolution
The next Assassin’s Creed, whether it’s called Assassin’s Creed 3 or not, will apparently take the stabbing action to 18th century America. CVG is citing a source that says Ubisoft is targeting the American Revolution as the next major conflict to explore the Assassin’s Creed series.
Amazon’s has Assassin’s Creed and lightning deals for gamers today (update 2)
Amazon has come through. Yesterday, it promised shoppers sweet, sweet deals on Assassin’s Creed games once December 13, 2011 began. Now, that day is here and there are indeed cheap games. Not only that, but there are also 10 miscellaneous video game Lightning Deals for our perusing pleasure.

Ubisoft investing less in original IPs
Along with a written report, Ubisoft held a conference call with investors today to elaborate on its most recent financial quarter. During these calls, the first half is full of previously prepared statements that are usually not that exciting to listen to. The real meat of these calls comes from the second half when investors start to ask questions.
British agency using Xbox Live to increase awareness, recruit potential agents

Playing games online with other humans is one of the best places to use your wits to outsmart and outmaneuver the opposition. Xbox Live is teeming with individuals with potential to become real life agents and this is why a government intelligence organization named GCHQ (Government Communications Headquarters) will use Live to recruit.
GCHQ is a British intelligence agency located in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire (England), that partners with MI5 and MI6 agencies to protect the UK’s security interests.
GCHQ will run ads for six weeks on Xbox Live’s dashboard as well as within games including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Assassin’s Creed 2 and Left 4 Dead 2.
Spike TV to premiere Assassins Creed: Lineage short film
With the rising success of Ubisoft’s Assassins Creed and Assassins Creed’s 2 (which comes out November 17, 2009 for Xbox 360 and PS3), Spike TV will be premiering in high-definition ,Assassins Creed: Lineage, a live-action and CGI short movie based on the video games.
Lineage takes place just before the events in AC2. It revolves around Giovanni Auditore da Firenze, the father of main character in the second game, Ezio, and provides a little insight on the back story of first game and the premise of the next.
The film was developed by Ubisoft’s Hybride Technologies, the visual effects company that worked on movies including 300 and Sin City.
