At CES you can find tons and tons of accessories and other nifty little add-ons for your gadgets. Old school gamers may be drawn to one in particular — ION Audio’s iCade, a mini arcade cabinet for your iPad.

Every gamer has heard of the legendary game Asteroids. It was released in 1979 and quickly became one of the most popular in the arcade. As people got better at the game they started amassing big scores and competing for the coveted high score position. Unfortunately that competition ended on 1982 when a 15 year old boy named Scott Safran set a record so huge that no one beat it for 28 years.

Last night, the impressive score of 41,336,440 was finally surpassed.

It’s a new arcade game available through Xbox Live where you can battle space aliens and other creatures while shooting at any and all asteroids that may be blocking you. The game takes place on one screen where you fly your ship, spinning around to shoot an aliens or any space debris that is in your way. As you destroy different things you earn power ups including augmented speed and a bigger radius for which to collect destroyed particles.
