A Vampyre Story stars, you guessed it, a vampire

Who loved old Lucas Arts adventure games like The Curse of Monkey Island? We loved old Lucas Arts adventure games like The Curse of Monkey Island! No, a remake of that game isn’t coming out (we wish). Instead, there’s something that’s equally good – Bill Tiller, a former Lucas Arts employee who worked on The Curse of Monkey Island, and Autumn Moon Entertainment have just released a new adventure game called A Vampyre Story. If you live in Europe, you can find A Vampyre Story in stores today, but others of us in the US will have to resort to GamersGate to purchase and download the game for $29.99.

A Vampyre Story is the somewhat-tragic tale of Mona De Lafitte, who wanted more than anything to become an opera star. And she was pretty good too – on her way to sing at the Paris Opera and everything. That is, until vampire baron Shrowdy Von Kiefer looked at her and saw lunch. Now she’s a vampire and trapped in Draxsylvania…
