Xbox Live Update for the week of May 1 through 7, 2011

It’s fitting this week that we begin with a little talk about our dedicated men and women in the military. Xbox Live Programming Director Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb has announced that Xbox Live customers in the military can now use military states as a credit card billing address. If you go to your credit card billing options, you will now find AA (Armed Forces of the Americas), AE (Armed Forces Europe) and AP (Armed Forces Pacific) as billing options.

Bangai-O’s sequel to hit Japanese DS

The sequel to Treasure’s excellent N64 (Japan-only) and Dreamcast shooter Bangai-O will be coming to the Japanese DS Winter 2007. According to the latest Famitsu, the frantic 2D gameplay is intact with the upper screen displaying the stage map and the lower screen displaying the game screen.

Several DS-specific enhancements were also announced, namely Wi-Fi multiplayer (in competitive and co-op flavors), and a brand new edit mode where players can create stages, game types, etc. using the stylus.
