Head to Barnes & Noble for free Angry Birds stuff

Barnes and Noble is one of the “Magic Places” for Angry Birds. The magic isn’t found in thousands of books. It’s found within the Wi-Fi signal that moves through the air in hundreds of B&N stores. To acquire the magic, you must have a Nook Color and a copy of Angry Birds. B&N has become the first location to take advantage of an Angry Birds feature that offers rewards if you play the game from a specific location.

Barnes & Noble Nook eReader now has games among other new features

One of the first new features added to the Nook are games. At the moment there is only Chess and Sudoku. However, it is a start and shows that B&N are willing to work to make a better product while fixing all the problems that it had in the original release. GameStop director unloads $60 million worth of stock

In a move drawing a lot of industry attention, GameStop director Leonard Riggio has sold 2.3 million shares of the company’s stock.

He earned $60.2 million from the sale and reduced his ownership in the game retail company from 6.9 percent to 5.5 percent. The timing seems odd as the sale comes right before the holiday season, when GameStop generally expects to make billions. The holiday season of 2009 is packed with potential sales blockbusters including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and New Super Mario Bros.
