EA will be giving PS3 Battlefield 3 owners Battlefield 1943

It took some time, but EA has finally come around. Back at E3 2011, EA announced during a press conference that anyone with a PS3 would receive an extra incentive for purchasing Battlefield 3 for their system. Battlefield 1943 was going to be thrown in as well, giving people two games for the price of one. People rejoiced and I’m sure many bought it for that system just for the free game.

Then, on October 25, 2011, Battlefield 3 was released. Immediately, PS3 owners saw something was awry. There was no Battlefield 1943

EA hopes to mend its broken promise with your money

PS3 owners have been spending so much time engaging the enemy in Battlefield 3 multiplayer, some have forgotten about a little promise EA made back in June. In an effort to step up sales of Battlefield 3 on PS3, EA said it would include a voucher to download Battlefield 1943. Of course if you purchased BF3 on PS3, that voucher is nowhere to be found. That’s because EA decided to squash the offer ahead of time. But don’t worry, EA has the perfect consolation.
