Syfy filling out its gaming section, rebranding it as SyFy Games
Syfy had slowly been building up its catalog of games since the birth of their website in 2008. It had regularly been growing throughout 2009. Now, with the success of the gaming portion of the site, Syfy is creating a site for specifically gaming, Syfy Games.
Though the Syfy website already has a number of games like Dark Orbit, Deepolis and 9 Dragons, they are going to be adding many more. Craig Engler, SVP and GM of Syfy Digital, let the world know about this move.
Alternate Disc-Tractions: Battlestar Galactica Season 4.5 DVD review
The final season of the groundbreaking revamp TV series, Battlestar Galactica, wraps up all of the mysteries, visions and even relationships that had been developing throughout the series. Even with all the bonus footage, extended episodes and commentary tracks, that doesn’t mean the ending will make any more sense.
But do not despair. This is the perfect followup to the amazing first half of the final season and a beautiful, even if somewhat intentionally enigmatic conclusion to the series.

Rumor: Battlestar Galactica coming to theaters
According to IGN, Battlestar Galactica may be heading to the big screen soon. Unfortunately, fans hoping to see the current Sci-Fi Channel re-imagined BSG in theaters will have to make do with the original series instead.
If the rumor is to be believed, Universal has negotiated with series’ creator Glen A. Larson to write and produce a big-screen adaptation of his original BSG series. The film will retell the original story and not be related to the current series. It is expected to include ol’ faves Adama, Starbuck, Baltar and Cylons.
The original Battlestar Galactica was the most expensive series of its time with only…

As the fourth and final season of the hit Sci-Fi Channel series, Battlestar Galactica is coming to its conclusion, the next series was already in the works long before season 4.5 got underway.
Now fans will get to see Caprica much sooner than the original 2010 release date as Universal Studios Home Entertainment announced that the Battlestar Galactica prequel will be released exclusively to DVD on April 21, 2009, for $26.98.

Gamertell Review: Battlestar Galactica Season 4.0 on DVD
There are so may reasons to enjoy the new Battlestar Galactica series. This latest DVD set, featuring the first half of the series final fourth season, exemplifies why the series remain strong, defeating story pitfalls that would crush other series and yet remaining in parallel with the original series.
This half season may be one of the best complete halves of the series with hardly a weak episode, plenty of suspense and several surprising plot turnabouts…
Battlestar Galactica to air final season starting January 16, 2009
It’s almost frakking over, BSG fans. ICV2 is reporting that part two of the 4th and final season of the excellent space drama begins airing on January 16, 2009, at 10 ET/PT. The first half of the season lands on DVD on January 9th, just in time to catch up (or for me – hungrily more »
Gamertell Review: Quark on DVD
Title: Quark: The Complete SeriesPrice: $19.95Release Date: September 2, 2008Studio: Sony PicturesRating: Not Rated.Pros: A relatively unknown sci fi parody TV series resurrected for home video for the first time. Hokey humor, cheesy Star Trek homages, blatant stereotyping and over-the-top acting make this so bad it’s funny.Cons: Complete lack of extra features.Overall Score: One thumb up, one thumb sideways; 80/100; B-; * * * out of five.
Yes, the name might be a bit confusing to some. This is not a desktop publishing application. This is not about subatomic particles. It is not even about a big-eared bartender from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Quark is, simply put, a disco parody of mid-’70s sci fi that’s so bad, it’s good…
Battlestar Galactica prequel announced
I have two words for this announcement: Frak yes! The SCI FI channel has just announced a two-hour prequel special for space drama Battlestar Galactica, to air after the final ten episodes in the series in 2009. The special will air on the channel, with a DVD release soon to follow, and it’s actually being directed by Edward James Olmos (and written by longtime BSG writer Jane Espenson).
The story is a prequel focused on Cylon #1 (Dean Stockwell), Resistance Leader Sam T. Anders and Chief Galen Tyrol; and is centered on the immediate aftermath of the Cylon attack that left the human race nearly decimated.
