Xbox Live YouTube app pushed out early for dashboard preview testers

We recently wrote about how much the Xbox Live community can’t wait to get their hands on the YouTube app that was promised to become available sometime this month. For some of them, the wait is over. Anyone who participated in the Xbox Live dashboard preview program can download the YouTube video app right now from the App Marketplace.

Starhawk private beta takes off November 22

A private beta for the upcoming multiplayer-focused Starhawk will begin a matter of days. A limited number of gamers that played Warhawk and chose to receive promotional emails from Sony will be getting beta codes in their inboxes starting November 22. Lightbox Interactive, the developers of Starhawk, will be pushing out those beta keys slowly over time.

Xbox Live Fall update preview now available to beta testers

Microsoft has began pushing the Xbox Live fall update preview to Xbox 360 owners that signed up, registered and were accepted into the test. You may see a prompt to download the update the next time your turn your console on. The fall update replaces the old dashboard design with Microsoft’s Metro user interface and adds features such as Beacons, Bing search and more.

Mass Effect 3 beta was available for a brief time

A couple days ago, Microsoft accidently released an unfinished beta version of Mass Effect 3. The beta was made available to some individuals that signed up for and were accepted into the Xbox Live Fall Preview Program. The nearly 2GB file contained access to the multiplayer and single-player portions of ME3. The beta is no longer available and its modes have been deactivated. However, new information was obtained during the brief window of the beta’s existence.

Sony has another reason to buy a new copy of Uncharted 3

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception has gone gold. That means the game is complete and it’s off to be pressed millions of times before making its way to stores all over the world.
