Gamertell Review: BlazBlue: Continuum Shift

Arc System Works is known for creating intricate, 2D fighters, and in June 2009 it released BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, a spiritual successor to the Guilty Gear series of games. Now, a little over a year later, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift has blasted onto the scene. Those unfamiliar with the series might mistake it for a slightly modified version of Calamity Trigger, but it is full sequel with new modes, new difficulty levels, new characters and new moves for existing characters…

TGS 2010: Arc System Works brings Arcana Heart 3 and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift

Arc Systems Works is going to have its very own booth at the 2010 Tokyo Game Show. I know, it’s a little surprising since its a small developer and publisher that mainly works on fighting games, but it’s true. The company even set up its own, small, TGS 2010 website.

That Arc System Works website is one that TGS 2010 attendees will desperately need. The company is only going to have two games at the show, Arcana Heart 3 (PS3, Xbox 360) and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift (PS3, Xbox 360), but they will only be able to be played at certain times…

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift slides onto store shelves

Your copy of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger is going to get dusty. It’ll soon be replaced in your heart by the sequel, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift. No, don’t lie to yourself. You know it’s true. The additional characters, modes and promise of new multiplayer experiences will sway you. And since Continuum Shift‘s now available, you’ll probably find yourself drawn to a store to buy it for $39.99 and replace your first love…

Battles break out in Summer 2010 with BlazBlue: Continuum Shift

PS3 and Xbox 360 owners will be able to enjoy even more 2D battling goodness soon. Aksys has announced that BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, the sequel to the very successful BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger is in the works and will be out sometime in Summer, 2010. So Super Street Fighter IV is going to have some company this season.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift sounds like it takes all the best parts of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, and then adds in a lot of good, new, extra stuff! For example, there are Beginner, Tutorial, Challenge and Legion Modes. Beginner and Challenge both change how the game is played to make it less or more complicated, Tutorial lets you practice and Legion lets you take over Kagutsuchi in a fighting/strategic manner….
