E3 2011: Nival has best booth gimmick of show
I was walking the floor, and upon exiting the Bethesda booth, I couldn’t help but notice a bounce castle flexing and springing on the other end of the hallway.
After being distracted by some neat tank-shaped rubber bands to shoot at my roommate, I found Nival’s booth.

ChinaJoy expo features Booth Babes despite anti sex-to-sell-games law
The eighth annual China Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference (aka ChinaJoy) recently concluded and, much like E3, it had its fair share of ladies in skimpy outfits. Besides being fodder for several photo galleries, it’s also notable because, last month (July 2010), the Chinese government barred online gaming companies from, according to new service AFP, more »
E3 2010: A few things I learned at E3
Even though I’ve been writing about games since the mid-1990s, there’s still plenty to be learned from and about the game industry.
E3 2010 was certainly no exception as even the little things offered insights into those who work on and create all the pixelated goodness we enjoy each day.
While many of these will seem like, “No duh” non-revelations, each involves at least some shade of knowledge that was evidenced at E3. I mean, who thought two Sony booths next to each other would – vehemently – know nothing about each other?
E3 2010: Booth Babes photo collection (with a side of Booth Beef) (update 3)
If you think the infamous Booth Babes from E3 has disappeared, they certainly have not. They’ve just become a bit more selective in how and when they come out to play or, really, entice you to play.
Here’s our collection of photos of some of the hired help at E3 2010. While some of them are not technically “Booth Babes” (as in paid to be attractive), There were certainly some willing subjects.
THQ uses Craigslist to look for E3 models
It’s no secret that sex sells. You put an attractive model next to a product and watch the bucks roll in. Videogame conventions have been doing this for years with booth babes. E3 2010 will most likely have more than its fair share of videogame models at company events. THQ is one such company and it is looking to hire models to work its E3 2010 event.
ESA announces dates, venue for E3 2010
It seems this year’s E3 (2009) is doing well enough that ESA (Entertainment Software Association) has announced the dates and venue for the next Expo.
E2 2010 will take place June 15 through 17, 2010, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. According to the ESA press release, more than 41,000 attendees from 78 countries have attended E3 2009.
This year’s expo brought a return to what is being called “the old format” by many companies and media outlets, with…
Tokyo Game Show 2009 dates and details announced
The Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Associaton and Nikkei Business Publications, Inc. will be holding the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) beginning September 24 (Thursday) and concluding on September 27 (Sunday).
If you could only ever attend at least one video game convention in your life, the Tokyo Game Show would definitely be that one. Since the Electronic Entertainment Expo has been diminished into a measly press event without all the flash and fervor of its previous fame, TGS easily picks up the slack…
Tokyo Game Show 2008: Battle of the booth babes
One of the most alluring things about the Tokyo Game Show besides getting an early sneak peak at video games in development is the abundance of booth babes.
Nearly every exhibitor’s booth at the TGS has their slew of booth girls each outfitted in a unique costume. The sole purpose of the existence of booth girls at these types of conventions is to attract attention to the exhibit they represent through the powers of seduction and cuteness. The outfits that these girls wear are usually attractive and revealing, meaning that most of these girls wear crop tops showing off their midriffs coupled with a mini-skirt showing off their long legs.
Out of all the booth girls this year, I would like to choose Level 5′s outfit as my personal favorite…
