Tired of the old dinner and movie every Valentines day? Well perhaps this February 14th you can just stay in with your valentine and play a few video games with your “special” lovebird.

Here are a few “romantic” games that involve dating, getting your date to snuggle, and other things you wish you were doing instead of sitting in front of your TV. If these games don’t get you in that “special” mood…well that’s probably a good thing.

This week, we have plenty of new content across Nintendo’s various downloadable services – though my money’s on the Wii goodies today. On DsiWare, there’s a questionable photo application and a kid-targeted “interactive success story”, but on WiiWare we have promising updates of classic Bubble Bobble and Adventure Island, and the Virtual Console gets the goofy (but totally fun) Clayfighter. While it was really Clayfighter 63 1/3 that I loved dearly, anything from the ridiculous fighting series is totally awesome in my (nostalgia-tinted) view. Nintendo refreshes the stable of it’s downloadable games every Monday at 9 AM Pacific time, and you can purchase Wii points at a rate of 100=$1.
