The Gamerator is the ultimate arcade cabinet complete with beer keg
It’s not everyday we come across an arcade cabinet that truly goes above and beyond the call of duty. We’ve never seen an arcade cabinet that dispenses drinks either. That’s because we’ve never heard of the Gamerator before today. The Gamerator is a custom made arcade cabinet that actually has a pony keg built into it. Could it be a bit hazardous to have a cold one while standing over an arcade cabinet? Sure, but gamers live on the edge. Plus, it has cup holders.
Capcom Arcade brings the arcade experience to the App Store
It seems more likely we’ll never return to the days of sliding tokens into an arcade cabinet. We’ve traded in gathering around the cabinet for talking over the internet. It was good fun while it lasted, and I would be remiss if I didn’t feel bad about that. But Capcom is trying to harness the power of the old days by releasing Capcom Arcade on the App Store.
Coin-Op Update: Guitar Hero will rock arcades in 2009
As if jumping around in our underwear playing Guitar Hero at home wasn’t embarrassing enough, jumping around in our underwear in public may just take the cake.
Activision is teaming up with Konami and Raw Thrills to bring Guitar Hero Arcade to an location near you. The arcade version will be a take on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock with some things being added and taken out.

Hallmark’s Christmas 2008 Pac-Man arcade cabinet ornament
Last year (2007), Hallmark released the Player 1 Christmas ornament, which was a pretty cool mini game controller with sound effects.
This year (2008), Hallmark is again releasing a game-themed ornament, reaching a little further back in time and producing a mini Pac-Man arcade machine complete with sound effects. The ornament, which stands approximately 4.5 in. tall, retails for $18.50, is battery operated (batteries included), lights up and plays classic Pac-Man sounds. Wakka-wakka!

Atlantic shows off Transformer Gaming Center at CES 2008
Atlantic Inc., makers of various gaming and iPod accessories, is at CES 2008 in Vegas demonstrating its new Transformer Gaming Center. When closed, the matte black console storage unit tuns into an obelisk with blue LED underlighting.
