Panzer Corps gets DLC giving better coverage of Poland and France

Panzer Corps is an awesome game, if I don’t say so myself (and I already have). Despite the design being a throwback to games of nearly twenty years ago, Panzer Corps has been well reviewed by others, for good reason. This is a highly playable game, with the only weakness being it’s easy to play it to death. One can conquer Moscow so many times before it gets a little stale, after all.

Sony begins “Only On PSN” campaign Tuesday

Sony will begin another marketing campaign tomorrow (October 4) that focuses on upcoming PlayStation Network titles. It’s called “Only On PSN” and it features both original PSN titles and classic PS2 games. At this point, only older PS3 consoles that haven’t already died can play PS2 discs. The slim models with their plentiful hard drive space should be enough to store anything PSN can throw at it.

Fans try to bring back Mega Man Legends 3

Capcom drew the ire of fans once again when it announced it had cancelled Mega Man Legends 3. What’s worse is that Capcom basically blamed the fans for the cancellation. Capcom said that since fans didn’t devote enough dedication to the Mega Man Legends 3 Devroom, Capcom “felt the project was not worthwhile.” In response to this, a campaign called 100,000 Strong For Bringing Back Mega Man Legends has been started.

Matrix Games’ quick Fall sale on three decent war games

From now until October 31, 2010, Matrix Gamesis having a sale on three of its best titles, John Tiller’s Campaign Series, Steel Panthers: World at War – General’s Edition and Norm Kroger’s Operational Art of War III, with prices reduced from 25% to 50%. If everyone was a wargamer, these games as a whole offer something for everyone.

Although Matrix is calling this a Fall sale, they’re only running it a week, ending it on Halloween. I guess if you’re looking for something to do besides answer the door and hand out candy, these games give a good reason to turn off the porch light and hide in the computer room. That said, these are all turn-based games, so it’s not like you’ll get shot or something if you get up to answer the call of costumed candy-beggars.

Konami launching Commemorative Campaign (read: free stuff) for Metal Gear Online

Been playing some Metal Gear Online lately? Probably not but if you do have an account you might want to log in November 25, 2008, through December 9, 2008, as Konami will be giving all players who log into their Metal Gear Online accounts 10,000 reward points that they can use to spruce up those dusty characters at in the game’s shop.

It’s just one part of Konami’s “Commemorative Campaign” for its online war game, which is a celebration of achieving over one million members. The catch is that the points won’t be awarded until after December 9, 2008.

Part two of the campaign involves…

Confirmed four-player online co-op in Halo 3

During a press event in Amsterdam, Bungie confirmed that Halo 3 will be playable in co-operative mode over Xbox Live with two to four players. The news was reported on XboxWorld, and was later confirmed on Bungie.

Bungie revealed that you will be able to join up with friends in the Xbox Live lobby and, when you and your posse are ready to ride, you enter into the Campaign mode. Once the Campaign mode begins however, your friends will not be able to join up. The party can start from the…
