This week has been a very low-key week in the world of casual computer games. Only four titles made their debut, and all of them are only available on Windows PCs. Three of them are hidden object games, but Hello Venice offers a little diversity with a match-3 game. You may want to use this more »

Casual Friday for December 31, 2011-January 6, 2012
It’s a new year filled with all new casual games. Actually, 2012 hasn’t really had a fantastic start just yet. There were six new games released this week and while they were rather diverse in terms of offerings, they weren’t exceptionally exciting. There’s another downside to the first update of 2012. The last casual game update of 2011 is upon us. Unfortunately, it’s going out with a whimper rather than a bang. Of the five new games released, none are particularly outstanding. Casual Friday update for December 17-23, 2011
Hi everyone! Hope you’re enjoying your holidays. While I know you probably have better plans for this weekend than to just sit home, playing casual games, there are seven new games to consider after your celebrating is over. One of them is even playable on Macs. If you’re looking for gaming festiveness, then you’ll be disappointed though, as Christmas Tales: Fellina’s Journey (Windows, Mac) is the only game with a holiday theme.
As always, there’s still the Humble Indie Bundle 4 (Windows, Mac, Linux) to consider. It’s available until next week and now, if you pay more than the current average, you get 12 games instead of just five. That’s because the Humble Indie Bundle 3 (Windows, Mac, Linux), which included VVVVVV, Crayon Physics Deluxe, And Yet It Moves, Cogs and Hammerfight, has been added as an incentive…
Casual Friday update for December 10-16, 2011
We’re starting to get into that holiday release window lull. You know, when a lot of new games don’t appear because of the season. That’s the only explanation I can find for there being only six new casual games to report on this week. Only one of them is available for both Windows and Mac, by the way. Surprisingly, even though Christmas is only about a week away, only one of them is holiday-themed! It’s Chicken Invaders: Ultimate Omelette Christmas Edition (Windows, Mac). I bet you can’t wait to play that.
What’s really worth seeing this week is the Humble Indie Bundle 4 (Windows, Mac, Linux). Yes, I know it feels like there was just one of these, but this is more important as it’s an actual numbered bundle and is the best one ever. If you pay less than the average price, you get Bit.Trip Runner, Jamestown, NightSky, Shank and Super Meat Boy. Pay more than the average and Cave Story + and Gratuitous Space Battles are added to your bundle. All seven games are absolutely fantastic, so keep it in mind! You can even gift it!
This week’s best bet is: The Humble Indie Bundle 4 (Windows, Mac, Linux)
