Chicago Comic Con 2011: Chatting with celebrities at the VIP Red Carpet Event
Wizard World’s Chicago Comic Con (which happened August 11-14 2011) treated its VIPs and press to a special Red Carpet event at the DoubleTree hotel on August 12, 2011.
Several celebs that attended the con strolled down the rosy rug up to take photos and be mobbed, er, interviewed by the press. I was lucky enough to snag a few short words with the celebs and get their insights on their current and past roles.
Chicago Comic Con 2011: Patrick Stewart panel (with videos)
Wizard World Comic Con 2011 was lucky enough to get Capt. Picard himself, Patrick Stewart plus his son Daniel Stewart who was in a couple episode of Next Generation. The con took place on August 11-14 2011, the panel I saw was on Saturday 13 and was hosted by Chris Hartwick from G4.
I took a couple videos of Stewart from his panel because I believe he can say it better than I can.

His mom was killed right in front in him and he is determined to make the killer pay, and every other criminal he can find.
Sean is not your typical hero, nor is he a typical high school student.

Opinion: Revocation of Chicago’s game ad ban reminds us of gamers’ responsibilities, rights
As an avid video gamer, I know all too well the extent people go through to ban certain games in their stores and businesses, especially game advertisements.
The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) is guilty of this by recently banning advertisements of more violent and racy video and computer games on its trains, buses and stations. This is not only a violation of free speech but, by doing so, CTA is intentionally singling out video games to ban, seeing as it still advertises movies and TV no matter how violent or racy they are.
However, the US Supreme court decided that enough is enough and last Thursday (January 7, 2010) by issuing an injunction against the CTA saying that it must lift the ban at least until the case is finally resolved, which was a huge victory for the gaming industry who seems to deal with tons of prejudice.
Midway to perform fatalities on its staff after major title releases
I sure hope Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is a good game.
Actually, I hope it is a great game not only because I consider myself a fan of the series but because it may be the only way in which Midway can pull itself out of the proverbial fire.
The company has been struggling of late to the point where it has had to go through some extreme measures just to complete one of its high-profile games. These struggles have resulted in staff members being handed pink slips in its Austin, TX (USA), studio.
Sadly, it’s looking like more…
