Angry Birds’ 2nd birthday celebrated with more levels
How old are Angry Birds now? Two, if you can actually believe that. Of course, with all the merchandising and tie-ins that have been appearing everywhere, it probably feels closer to five. Anyways, two years is still a milestone and Rovio and Chillingo have decided the best way to acknowledge that is to make the original Angry Birds game even better with an update dubbed Birthday 2.0.0.
As with all Angry Birds updates, Birthday 2.0.0 is free….
Anomaly Warzone Earth now 50 percent off in App Store
Anomaly Warzone Earth has gotten an update in the Apple App Store. The game has received the Trinity update which introduces a new mode called Squad Assault Rearmed, graphical enhancements for the iPad 2 and the title now has universal app status.
You can be an Angry Bird this Halloween
Okay, this has done it. This whole Angry Birds fad has gone too far. Now I’m going to be worrying if I’ll have a flock of birds tossing eggs on my car if my Halloween candy doesn’t meet with Trick or Treaters’ approval.
But I’m getting ahead of myself.
There are Angry Birds Halloween costumes…
Chillingo releases Finger Shoes, Swords & Soldiers and Torture Bunny
Chillingo doesn’t just have one new iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch game for all those iOS device wielding people out there. It has three. For those gamers who prefer the finer, cheaper games life has to offer, there are Kaxan Games’ 99¢ Finger Shoes and Torture Bunny. Those willing to pay a little more for a more refined game experience can grab Two Tribes’ $2.99 port of the Wii, PS3, Windows and Mac game Swords & Soldiers. (Psst! Splurge and get Swords & Soldiers!)
All three games cover different genres, so Chillingo’s latest offerings should put a smile on just about everyone’s face…
Google Chrome gets free Angry Birds
Angry Birds have conquered a whole new platform – web browsers. Specifically, Google Chrome. The game was announced at Google I/O on May 11, 2011, and should be enough to make anyone who actually paid for Angry Birds cringe. That’s because on Chrome, the game is free. Yes, there are ads and you have to pay if you want to unlock and use the Mighty Eagle, but still. The fact that now anyone with a computer can play it for free is a blow to everyone who didn’t wait.
The Chrome version of Angry Birds even has a few special features…
Chillingo holding iPad game sale in honor of iPad 2
All your money is probably going towards saving up for an iPad 2, so you probably don’t have much spare change to spend on apps. Well, Chillingo is willing to take what it can get. It’s prepared a special sale on a few of its assorted iPad games and is willing to accept pocket change for them this weekend. Until March 13, 2011, seven games are marked down to 99¢.
Let’s take a look at what Chillingo has to offer…
Chillingo to publish 11 Bit Studios’ Anomaly: Warzone Earth for iOS
A little while back, Gamertell told you about Anomaly: Warzone Earth. It’s a “reverse tower defense” game that’s generating a good amount of buzz. On the game’s official Facebook page, developer 11-Bit Studios confirmed Chillingo will publish the game.
Chillingo releases Food Processing on iOS
Chillingo is a publisher that was behind a couple of the biggest iOS games we’ve ever seen. It was the original publisher of Angry Birds (before Rovio got too big) and Cut the Rope. Both games are constantly in the top spots in the App Store. Chillingo’s latest game is called Food Processing, and it seems awfully familiar.
Cut the Rope getting Valentine’s Box update
If you own Cut the Rope, you better prepare for an update. Version 1.2 is going to be coming out soon, right in time for Valentine’s Day. Appropriately enough, it actually is going to be a Valentine’s Box update to the game. Open it up and you’ll get 25 levels new levels of rope cutting and candy dropping goodness…
Pro Zombie Soccer free for iOS for a limited time
If you’re tired of shooting zombies all the time, consider this athletic alternative. Pro Zombie Soccer is now free in the App Store. The reason behind this sudden act of generosity by Chillingo is due to the release of Pro Zombie Soccer Apocalypse Edition for the iPad. There’s no telling when Pro Zombie Soccer will stop being free, so grab it now.
