Getting to know the Resistance 3 multiplayer beta [Video]
The Resistance 3 multiplayer beta is in full effect. If you have a code, feel free to redeem it on the PlayStation Network right now. If you don’t have a code, keep up with Insomniac Games on Facebook or Twitter. Insomniac has a tendency to give away dozens of codes at once. I’ve been playing the beta for couple days and like what I see so far. Full impressions are coming, but let’s go on a video tour of the beta for now.
Resistance 3 screens spill onto the web
Insomniac Games announced Resistance 3 last month at Gamescom. It also announced Ratchet and Clank All 4 One. But Insomniac didn’t have any information about Resistance 3 at that time. The developer only released a live action trailer that provides fertile ground for speculation. While we wait for Insomniac to provide more details, a user on Flickr that goes by the handle 1337guyzorz2, has uploaded with appears to be screenshots and concept art from Resistance 3.
Gamescom 2010: Resistance 3 live action trailer
The second piece of big news to come out of Sony’s Gamescom press conference was Resistance 3. Insomniac Games announced the somewhat leaked title following the showing of Ratchet and Clank: One 4 All. Insomniac offered no details for Resistance 3 other than it will be released in 2011 and features New York City.

There is no doubt that Resistance: Fall of Man has remained one of the Playstation 3′s stand-out titles. This popularity can be attributed to its large-scale environment and the ingenuity of the game’s developers at Insomniac Games. With Resistance‘s sequel due this holiday season (2008), and a side story for the PSP titled Resistance: Retribution expected later in the year, players will have ample opportunities to defeat the Chimera at their own game.
Players who choose to purchase both games will have the opportunity to “infect” their copies of Resistance: Retribution through the connection of their PSP systems to their Playstation 3 consoles…
