Christmas is only five days away. It’s time to stop procrastinating and get that shopping done. Even though online shopping is certainly more attractive to some compared to fighting the mall crowds, it’s becoming more unlikely items will arrive before the holiday. Well I’m here to hell you you’ve got one last chance to buy something from Amazon for the gamer on your list before time runs out. Amazon is offering free one-day shipping on certain games. The offer will expire on December 21 at 11:59pm Pacific.

We’re planning to spend some extra time today (December 25, 2010) with our family and friends celebrating the holidays by playing extra video games, drinking a moderate amount of wacky wassail and perhaps (accidentally or accidentally on purpose) consuming fruitcake.

The first guide I wrote did so well that I decided another one was in order, so here we are: part 2 of the worst gift ideas for hardcore gamers.

There was some confusion before so I feel I need to explain what a hardcore gamer is. A hardcore gamer (HCG) is a gamer that is OBSESSED with video games, not just playing them, but completing them in their entirety. This means getting all the endings, getting every single item in the game and all the achievements available. The HCG will skip work, school, dating, whatever just to complete a game. Also, a HCG has most likely forgotten to shower once or twice. HCGs can be male or female and despite all the above mentioned, female HCGs are considered hotter then males (sorry guys).

Christmas is just under three weeks away. I’m sure some of you have gifts that you need to mail to locations all over the world. Everyone wants their packages to arrive at their locations before the big day. The fact is, way too many of us send off those packages at the last minute hoping they’ll make it on time. Wonder no longer because we’re here to give you the holiday shipping cut-off dates.

Target’s 30-page Great Holiday Toy Sale catalog might not be a fat as Toys R Us’, but it still has some Pre-Black Friday deals and discounts you can use online at Target.com.

Much like Toys R Us, the video games and game systems are mostly listed in the book at retail prices. You need a coupon code and often to buy more than one item to get a deal. You’ll find all the codes here…

Surprised at the lack of a video game ornament this year compared to the previous four years, I reached out to Hallmark for an explanation.

Considering that Hallmark has released at least one video game (or arcade game) themed ornament the past four years, it seemed out of place to me to not create and sell one for 2010.
