Today the developer shared a few more small details about Hamilton’s Great Adventure. The biggest detail is that Hamilton’s Great Adventure will not have an online co-op option.

Odd top ten co-op game list draws criticism

Gameranx recently released its Top 10 list for best co-op games, to mostly jeers in the comments.

As it happens, I’ve played many of these titles and I tend to agree with the comments and not so much with the list…

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception has been confirmed to have a multiplayer mode that is intended to go toe-to-toe with some of the more prominent multiplayer titles on the market. Originally introduced in Uncharted 2, the multiplayer mode contained team based, free-for-all and three-player co-op modes. The story was a single-player experience, but that may change in Uncharted 3.

PAX East 2010: Hands-on with Splinter Cell: Conviction

I won’t lie: I have never been a Sam Fisher fan. For whatever reason, the roguelike genre has eluded and confounded me for a number of years. From Thief to Splinter Cell and beyond, they were nigh unplayable to me. Splinter Cell: Conviction, which comes out on April 13, 2010, has finally forced me to enjoy the genre.

That isn’t to say the game representatives tied me to a console and made me play until I “got” what they were trying to do. I managed to sneak my way into the demo directly after visiting a nearby game because there was a guy looking for a partner in co-op mode. “I can be that partner, I guess,” I thought to myself. And I’m glad I did…

Fable 3 promises full co-op mode

In Fable II, any co-op shenanigans were limited to the person’s game that you were playing in. Basically that person chose where to go, how to get there and so on. You were at the mercy of that specific character’s intentions. This was definitely something that many people had a bone to pick about, so it’s not exactly surprising to hear what Mr. Molyneux is saying about the next installment.

Former 1UP staff spawn Area 5

You just can’t keep good game journalists down.

A little longer than one week ago we learned some former employees of 1UP would be starting their own online show that would pick up where the 1UP Show left off. They promised to reveal their new name and post the first show one week after announcing it.

After thousands of dollars worth of donations and some hard work the guys are back to form Area 5 and a new show called Co-OP.

The show is…

Fable 2 co-op online patch ready for launch day

That was a short little scare there, eh? When Lionhead Studios announced that Fable 2 would not be seeing online co-op right out of the gate – a feature promised them would be in the package – people got a tad bit cranky.

Well, worry no more kids, Lionhead’s game development blog has announced that Fable 2 will indeed see an online co-op patch available on day one and it won’t cost you a penny. If you’re in Europe, then day one is October 24, 2008, and here in North America it’s
