Marvel.com leak spoils Amaterasu and Thor in Marvel vs. Capcom 3

This is why journalists love conventions. In addition to all the official news releases, there are always a few juicy bits that leak out accidentally. Pictures posted on Marvel.com (since removed) reveal that Thor and Amaterasu (from cult hit Okami) are in the cast of fighters in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. These additions make perfect sense. Thor has a movie coming out in 2011 so Marvel is doing all it can to increase his public profile. Amaterasu continues Capcom’s tradition of representing even its more obscure games in the Marvel vs Capcom series.

Square Enix distributing digital manga in US and France

Square Enix is taking a chance on digital manga. It’s going to be using its Square Enix Members site to help promote digital manga releases. The North American and French digital manga stores aren’t ready yet though – their virtual doors don’t open until Fall 2010. Square Enix did decided that Comic-Con International is the perfect time to hype up the service and allow people to see what it will be like.

If you’re at Comic-Con International, you’ll get to test it out firsthand. Square Enix’s booth number is 3829, right near Funimation and not too far from Konami. There are machines there where you can sample some of the digital manga Square Enix will be bringing to North America.

If you aren’t at Comic-Con International, don’t feel too left out. You can sample some free digital manga too…

Games walk a tightrope in terms of character development. They need to have enough story to keep players interested but don’t need to bog gamers down with one-hour cut scenes. At San Diego Comic 2010, Dark Horse will talk a little more about a new series, Mass Effect: Evolution, dealing with one of the RPG’s most mysterious characters, the Illusive Man….

C2E2 2010: Threadless Tees unleashes a new comic book in the form of eight t-shirts

Threadless tees, the maker of some rather zany t-shirts, announced this Saturday (April 17, 2010) at the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (C2E2) that they will be unleashing a series of eight t-shirts that will actually show an entire comic. This will be the first time a comic book has ever been shown through a series of shirts. Each shirt will show a panel, one on the front and one on the back, and the whole comic will be told through all eight shirts. The eighth shirt will reveal the end, naturally…
