Comic Con 2009: A closer look at Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth for DS

Miles Edgeworth is probably one of the greatest prosecutors that ever lived. He is great in fact that he has his own game, and I was lucky enough to try it out this year at Comic Con.

Capcom’s Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth is the newest in the Ace Attorney series. You will recognize Edgeworth from the first game, as the rival (and friend) of Phoenix Wright. This time he is the main character and you control him through out the game.

Comic Con 2009: A closer look at three new Playstation games

Playstation was hands-on at Comic Con this year and Sony brought out a few of its best games for the PS3 and PSP to show off.

Comic Con 2009: EA games showcase

Gamertell got to play the games in EA’s booth at the San Diego Comic Con 2009 and offers this first-person perspective on each. Game played include Nerf N-Strike, Need For Speed Nitro, Dragon Age Origins, Brutal Legend, Dead Space Extraction and G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra.

Comic Con 09: Hands on with Smith Micro’s Anime Studio Pro 6

Animation and manga software company Smith Micro has just released it’s newest version of Anime Studio and Gamertell was able to get an exclusive look at it at the 2009 San Diego Comic Con.

Anime Studio is a program that allows you create fun and detailed Anime cartoons. It’s easy to use and great for a beginning animator. I was able to get a hands-on view of all the features of this program.

Comic Con 2009: Namco Bandai’s lineup, Tekken 6 tourney

Namco Bandai has announced its lineup of games that will be playable at its booth (#530) at the 2009 San Diego Comic Con.

NamBam, as I like to call them, is also hosting a four-day Tekken 6 tournament on July 23 through 26, 2009 in Mezzanine Room 17B at the San Diego Convention Center. Sign-ups being daily at 10 a.m. with multiple competitions taking place each day.

Comic Con 2009: Left 4 Dead 2 on display

Valve Software sent out a press release announcing that Left 4 Dead 2 is playable at Comic Com 2009 in San Diego, CA (USA).

The game will be from 2 to 9 p.m., Thursday through Saturday, and noon to 5 pm on Sunday, July 26, 2009, at the at the EA Gaming Lounge in the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter Hotel. It will also be playable at the and the Xbox 360 booth (booth 5225 Hall G) all day on Saturday July 25, 2009.

Valve promises that the second of the game’s five campaigns will be playable (called “Swamp Fever”) and a new female “Boss infected monster” called “The Spitter” will be unveiled along with 20+ items and “Mudmen.”

L4D2 will be release November 17, 2009, for Xbox 360 and PC. Don’t miss the Photo Gallery of screen shots below.

Comic Con 2009: Capcom’s lineup, announcements and a freebie

Game maker Capcom is at Comic Con 2009 and showing off a few of its games as well as hosting panel discussions, showing off game demos and giving away free game levels.

Con attendees will be able to try the upcoming fighting game Fate/unlimited at Comic Con. The PSP game will be released via the PlayStation Store September 2009.

Capcom also announced that Ace Attorney Investigation: Miles Edgeworth, will be released February 16, 2010, for the DS. According to Capcom, players “take on the role of famed prosecutor Miles Edgeworth, a memorable rival of charismatic legal eagle Phoenix Wright.” This game is also on display and playable at the Con.

Also, for attendees who remembered to bring their PSPs, Capcom is offering eight free Monster Hunter Freedom Unite quests to download. Capcom warns that “only 6 quests will fit on a memory stick, so players should bring either two sticks, or another friend along that has their own PSP and copy of the game.” The levels will be playable at the Con as well.

Comic Con 2009: Marvel video games front and center

Marvel Comics “True Believers” will find a lot of info about upcoming Marvel games at San Diego Comic Con (July 23-26 2009). At 10 a.m.. July 25, 2009, at you can head to Room 6BCF to hear more about the Marvel Super Hero Squad. They’re getting a huge push from Marvel with a Cartoon Network show and a video game being handled by THQ.

The Super Hero Squad are cute, kid-friendly version of modern Marvel characters so this game could target the same demo that has made the Lego games a huge hit.

Comic Con 2009: Kotobukiya’s lineup and schedule (with frickin’ lightsaber chopsticks)

Statue, figure maker and cool stuff creator Kotobukiya has released its full schedule and lineup of offerings for the 2009 San Diego Comic Con taking place July 23 through 26, 2009 (with a preview night on June 22) at the San Diego Convention Center. The company promises hourly prizes as well as several exclusive items at its booth (#2601).
