Majesco responds to PETA’s concerns over Cooking Mama
You may recall a few days ago, PETA launched a Flash game called Cooking Mama: Mama Kills Animals to protest Majesco’s popular Cooking Mama series and Cooking Mama World Kitchen. Well, yesterday (November 19, 2008) Majesco fired back at PETA with a press release discussing the recipes found in Cooking Mama World Kitchen, stating it does include over 25 vegetarian recipe options.
Majesco’s press release also included a quote from “Mama,” in response to PETA’s game. “Mama’s” official quote was:
“I would never put rat in my Ratatouille,” said a feisty Mama while beating some eggs. “Like any accomplished cook, I create my recipes to appeal to a broad range of tastes and preferences. My only goal is to ensure you leave the table well fed.”

Majesco’s E3 2008 lineup
Majesco Entertainment Company has released its list of games and goodies it will show off at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (aka E3 2008).
Interestingly, all of the games are for either the Wii or the DS. (Also, note that the copanie’s NASDAQ symbol is “COOL.” I kid you not.). Games of note include Cooking Mama World Kitchen (Wii), Our House (Wii) and Babysitting Mania (DS).
And no, I don’t know what is in the grinder in the image above (*shudder*). Click through for the complete list…
We shall cook again in Cooking Mama World Kitchen
I was kind of hoping the following announcement wouldn’t come, but it has. Majesco and Cooking Mama Limited are crafting another entry in the Cooking Mama series – Cooking Mama World Kitchen for the Wii. This next entry will be a completely 3D cooking game, with all new recipes and mini-games mixed in.
Like in previous Cooking Mama games, Cooking Mama World Kitchen will involve selecting recipes, then attempting to cook them to perfection. New elements, aside from the 3D, include the ability to play as Mama in mini-games when she has to step in and save your recipe from failure. (The example in the press release involves Mama using her apron to catching a burger that was flipped too high and flew away.) Also the controls have been adjusted so that wiimote and nunchuk actions will feel more smooth and natural.
