PS3 firmware 3.50 makes certain controllers unusable

The PS3 giveth and it taketh away. Sony’s latest software update included support for 3D Blu-ray discs, better Facebook support and grief reporting. What Sony didn’t tell us was the controller killing code that was embedded within 3.50. Sony has targeted certain third-party controllers as potential security threats. Therefore Sony has disabled them from working on the PS3.
