Batman: Arkham City’s Catwoman will require online pass or purchase from GameStop

Catwoman is known for being sneaky but this is ridiculous.

The Catwoman content in Batman: Arkham City will require the game to be purchased brand new or the use of a VIP pass for 800 Microsoft Points or $10. Eurogamer got a tip and confirmed with Arkham City publisher Warner Bros. Those who purchase a new copy of the game or the online pass get four story missions in which Catwoman is playable. Those players will also have access to Catwoman in the “Riddler’s Revenge” Challenge Mode. Warner Bros. noted it is possible to complete the game without playing as Catwoman.

Bethesda celebrating 5th anniversary of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Good news if you haven’t purchased The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in the last five years since it was released in 2006. Bethesda’s preparing a really special release for you! It’s called The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition and it’s shaping up to be the ultimate Oblivion release…

Europe’s Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together Premium Edition is pretty nice

If you live in Europe, then you’re going to be able to pick up a pretty awesome version of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together next month on February 25, 2011. Buyers won’t just get a standard edition of the PSP game, they will get a premium edition that comes packed with lots of extra goodies. The initial price was £34.99 (~$56) for just the game, so all the extra content makes Tactics Ogre look even better…

Burger King’s Spongebob kids meal toys, Beach Party Cook-Off coupon

This must be the month to promote video games at fast food restaurants. If you head to Burger King for the next couple weeks, you can pick up a cheap Kids Meal with a Spongebob Squarepants toy and a video game coupon.

The coupon is for US$5 off THQ’s Cooking Mama-esque SpongeBob vs. The Big One: Beach Party Cook-Off for DS when purchased at Toys R Us. The game retails for $29.99 and was released march 3, 2009. The coupon is good April 6, 2009, through May 31, 2009, and is part of the mini booklet that comes with each toy.

As for the toys, there are 12 Spongebobs in the “set,” although the only differences between each toy is

Burger King’s Wii-themed kids meal toys, $5 off coupon codes

Along with novelty gift cards, the other inexpensive plastic tchockies I like to scout for are kids meal toys.

As a followup to last year’s Wendy’s Wii toys, Burger King is offering this year’s Wii-related tiny toys intended for tots (but not those under the age of three, of course). The ten toys are…

EA offers $10 coupon to email list subscribers

On Monday (February 25, 2008), EA Sports sent an email to its list subscribers for $5 off any game valued $29.95 or more through the EA online store. They must have been a little fuzzy over at EA from all the Take-Two buyout chatter since someone forgot to paste the coupons code in the email. (Insert your own Homer Simpson-style “Doh!” impression here.)

To make up for the mistake, EA Sports has sent a new email to offer a $10 coupon. No doubt it is an effort to promote
