Xbox Live Update for the week of November 14 through November 20
Are you ready to get seriously old school? Pac-Man Championship Edition DX is here to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of this gaming legend. There are more mazes, upgraded graphics and sound, not to mention the gameplay that built an arcade empire. Perhaps Pac-Man and his severe appetite aren’t for you. If you’re the type of gamer that wants to, you know, blow things up, Alien Breed 3: Descent will unleash hordes of enemies on you. The Deal of the Week is…
Crackdown 2 “Deluge” DLC coming November 17
So maybe Crackdown 2 wasn’t all what we expected it to be. It apparently has done well enough for Ruffian Games to create more content for Crackdown 2 fans to enjoy. There will be a new DLC pack coming out on November 17, 2010 called Deluge. Deluge will cost the somewhat odd sum of 560 Microsoft Points ($7).
Crackdown 2′s Toy Box downloadable content causing some glitches
If you’re planning to spend some of your three-day weekend in Pacific City, don’t purchase the Toy Box premium DLC right now. It will be more trouble than the crooks and freaks infesting Pacific City.
Xbox Live Update for the week of August 22 through 28, 2010
There is much side-scrolling, beat ‘em up goodness coming to the Xbox Live Arcade this week including Scott Pilgrim vs The World, released to coincide with a movie which is based on a comic book inspired by videogames, and Shank, a game from Klei Entertainment that looks like the spawn of Double Dragon and Pulp Fiction.
Crackdown 2 Toy Box add on includes free and premium dlc
Crackdown 2 DLC is on the way, and it’ll have something for everyone. Whether you only download the free updates or like to splurge on pricey add-ons, Toy Box will have you covered. Ruffian Games and Microsoft’s Toy Box add-on will include a free, game-enhancing update and an optional 560 Microsoft Point ($7) DLC bundle. It’s best to think of the Toy Box add on as having two bundles of content, one bundle for everyone and one bundle for paying customers.
Everyone gets two new game modes and a new reward…

Xbox Live Update for the week of June 27 through July 3, 2010
Puzzle lovers are about to do a serious happy dance as the long-awaited Puzzle Quest 2 hits the marketplace June 30. The first game was a previously unheard of genre meld between gem puzzles and role-playing games. People started that game and were never seen again, so consider yourself warned. Puzzle Quest 2 will cost you 1200 Microsoft Points ($15) and countless hours of your gaming (and non-gaming) time. Again, do not say Gamertell didn’t warn you beforehand.
Over 4 billion meters jumped in Crackdown 2 demo
According to Microsoft’s director of programming for Xbox Live Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb, Crackdown 2 demo players have collected “29.5 million Agility Orbs,” and “4.3 billion meters have been jumped by Agents.”
Hands-on with the Crackdown 2 demo
The demo lets you choose between four different character models and a few armor colors, and then drops you right into the action, sadly without any mention of the story. Also you only have about 30 minutes to try it out.
You start in the middle of a firefight against a group called The Cell. These guys are your main opposition in the demo and they are scattered around the city. Crackdown 2 has a day-night cycle and at night Freaks come out in packs. These guys are mutants, apparently affected by a virus, so even though the ones I faced were really weak, I guess they will get stronger as the game progresses.
