E3 2011: Dungeons & Dragons: Neverwinter details revealed

Dungeons & Dragons‘s Neverwinter has been a popular location for multiple video games. First, there was the 1991 MMORPG Neverwinter Nights, followed by the 2002 RPG Neverwinter Nights and Neverwinter Nights 2 in 2006. Now, five years later, Atari and Cryptic Studios are using E3 2011 to prepare people for the Q4 2011 RPG Neverwinter.

Like the previous games, Neverwinter is a Windows RPG set in the city-state Neverwinter. For a while, Neverwinter seemed like it would remain fairly peaceful and untouched by the Spellplague that ravaged other areas 100 years ago. That didn’t last…

When it was originally announced by Cryptic Studios, Star Trek Online was said to start off on PC, which it did. However, it was also announced with the possibility of future console ports.

Recently, it was revealed by the developers that the plans to port the MMO to consoles is, at best, going to be put on the backburners.

Atari and Cryptic Studios have just announced a release date Trekkies worldwide have been waiting for – the offical debut of Star Trek Online. It will be released February 2, 2010 in North America and three days later on February 5, 2010 in Europe and Australia.

Star Trek Online will be available in two versions, the standard edition which costs $49.99 and a $79.99 collector’s edition. The collector’s edition comes with a special game box, an art book, a Starfleet communicator badge and buddy passes so your friends can play. Registration now open for Champions Online closed beta

Champions Online is an upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) based on the Champions role-playing game that was first published back in 1981. It’s being developed by Cryptic Studios, a company you’re probably familiar with thanks to its work on City of Heroes, another superhero-themed MMORPG.

Cryptic’s Star Trek Online to be revealed at Star Trek Convention

Today (July 28, 2008), Cryptic Studios officially announced, launched a website for and set a date for gameplay unveiling for Star Trek Online. Previously P2 Entertainment was originally going to create the massive multiplayer online rpg, but dropped the project back in January, 2008. Cryptic Studios then working on Star Trek Online.

A few screen shots and news stories are available on the official Star Trek Online site, but gameplay trailers won’t be available until August 10, 2008. Cryptic Studios is going to debut the footage at the Las Vegas Star Trek Convention in the Gene Roddenberry Theater at the Las Vegas Hilton. The presentation will also be available in the form of a webcast on the site as well.

City of Heroes celebrates fourth year with gifts for gamers

Monday (April 28, 2008) marked the 4-year anniversary of Cryptic Studios and NC Soft’s City of Heroes set in the fictional city of, Paragon City. To celebrate the success of City of Heroes, NC Soft is releasing a new game calendar.
