E3 2011: D3Publisher bringing 3 games
D3Publisher may not have one of the biggest lineups for E3 2011, but it does have one game a lot of PS3 owners are looking forward to seeing. It’s picked up White Knight Chronicles II, which also includes the original game and has online multiplayer options. So if you’re at E3 this year, you may want to stop by the South Hall and see its humble booth.
If you have some spare time while you’re there, you could also try out D3′s other two games, Ben 10: Galactic Racing and Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon. Granted, Ben 10 isn’t for everyone, but the new Earth Defense Force game could be interesting.
Let’s look a bit closer at D3′s lineup…
Important Importables Review: Kurayami no Hate de Kimi wo Matsu for DS
Kurayami no Hate de Kimi wo Matsu is undoubtedly unique. It’s not often you find a dark, serious adventure game about a serial killer that also has dating simulation aspects. Honestly, it’s probably the first and, while there are a few minor disappointments, it offers a really intriguing experience to anyone willing to play. Just brace yourself if you decide to take a route where the heroine sides with the villain.
D3 Publisher handing White Knight Chronicles II for North America
About a month ago, we learned Sony was going to bring White Knight Chronicles II (PS3) and White Knight Chronicles: Origins (PSP) to Europe and wondered if North America could expect to see both games soon as well. The good news is yes, we will see WKC II, but it isn’t thanks to Sony. Sony’s North American branch decided to pass on the PS3 game and D3 Publisher picked it up instead.
GDC 2011: Don’t be afraid to shoot in Dream Trigger 3D
D3 Publisher had a 3DS game to show off at the 2011 Game Developer’s Conference this year. It’s the launch window, shooter Dream Trigger 3D. A name like that just screams shoot’em up and bullet hell. Hope you’re prepared to dodge and rapidly tap that trigger button…

You can now visit a hostess club where ever you go, no matter where you live. D3 Publisher is going to be bringing the Xbox 360 game Dream Club to the PSP as Dream Club Portable in Fall 2010. This is great news, as now it’s going to be on a region-free platform.
Dream Club Portable is a game where you frequent a hostess club to visit women there…
US and Europe get God Eater Burst, better version of God Eater
North America and Europe aren’t going to be getting the normal version of God Eater for their PSPs anymore. No, thanks to the Japanese announcement of the improved God Eater Burst, D3 Publisher has announced it will be releasing that version of the game outside of Japan in 2011.
God Eater Burst isn’t too different from the original God Eater, really. The graphics are a bit better, there are more equipment options and enemies to face, a Burst Mode that can be used in battle and the number of available missions supposedly doubles. Think of it as God Eater version 1.1. It’s the same game, but there are a few little extras that make it a smidge better…

Ah, Bandai. You don’t really think about it, but the company is everywhere. Toys, video games, models, animated series and more! The company even has its own museum in Japan, devoted to honoring famous Bandai characters. Now Bandai is known better by gamers as Namco Bandai, as the two companies merged together in 2006.
Bandai is quite influential, and has built quite a legacy around the world. You can’t really appreciate everything it’s done unless you step back and look at some of its biggest achievements. So this week, Important Importables is checking out Bandai’s endeavors in the world of toys, video games and mass media. It’s just a quick way to remind people of what the company’s capabilities…
Gamertell Review: Last Escort: Club Katze for PSP
Host clubs are no secret in Japan. Interested parties will find the streets of Kabuki-cho in Shinjuku (Tokyo, Japan) swarming with sharply dressed young gentlemen bombarding women of all ages in hopes of luring them back to their love nest that is one of their host clubs.
Last Escort is a unique series, usually on the PS2, that has enjoyed success on the Japan thanks to many a fine lady interested in getting a glimpse of what the host club scene in Japan is like without committing oodles of real-world monetary funds.
Game company 2009 Christmas cards collection (updated December 24)
Every year I receive a bundle of holiday greetings from various game and entertainment companies usually in the form of a nice postcard signed by the PR staff.
In the past some some companies would include a little gift with their card (Sony) but, more recently, companies are opting for less expensive and more eco-friendly digital cards sent via email. Even in the less paper-y format, they often include characters from the company’s more popular games.
Here’s a collection of Christmas and Holiday cards I’ve received celebrating 2009…
Gamertell Review: Naruto: Clash of the Ninja Revolution 2 for Wii
When an anime is successful, video game publishers waste no time in localizing Japanese games for a worldwide market. Since Naruto is unquestionably one of the most successful series at the moment, this means plenty of Naruto video games.
Naruto: Clash of the Ninja Revolution 2 is one of the latest Wii Naruto games, and one of the best. While it is a straightforward fighting game, it also offers an interesting story mode, a large cast of fighters and interesting “missions” for players to accomplish…
