Amazon’s eighth day of video game deals is upon us, and it’s all about the music. But, not just any music – only select entries in the Hero series. It isn’t as limited as it sounds though, since the sale items are the newest Guitar Hero and DJ Hero releases that are probably on most people’s wishlists this year.

Hyperkin’s new dancing pad, called the Tough Non-stick Dance Platform, is designed for use with the Dance Dance Revolution games but it also works on other dancing games.

The best part about this pad is that forced me to break out the game and play it again. It really is a good work out and the pad motivates you to play it again.

A recent ad for the Toys R Us retail chain shows several discounted games as well as a free Star Wars: Clone Wars backpack offer. The sales started August 17, 2008, and continue through August 23, 2008.

The backpack, likely meant for kids (but that doesn’t mean you can’t have one too), retails for $10.99 but is free if you spend more than $30 on Star Wars stuff by August 23, 2008.
