GamesCom 2009: A brief summation of Konami’s announcements
Konami was among the many major game developers/publishers that decided Cologne, Germany was the place to be this week. The company showed up with multiple games in tow, in a display that quite possibly rivaled their presense at E3 2009. The bulk of the games were titles the public had already heard about at the prior convention, though now new information was available, as were playable demos.
The wide selection of games seems to know no genre or platform limitations. Konami is showing off console, handheld, cell phone, iPhone and PC games. There are games for families, casual players and hardcore gamers represented in the batch.

E3 2009: Stage a DanceDanceRevolution on every console soon
E3 2009 allowed Konami to continue to contribute to the active game genre with the anouncement of more DanceDanceRevolution games. There will be four, count them four, DDR games on the way, for the PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii. It will also mark the release of the first PS3 DDR.
All of the DanceDanceRevolution games are being mentioned as Fall 2009 releases, and each game will have 30 popular, master artist tracks and 20 original Bemani songs. So 50 songs will be available right away. Konami’s also going to be emphasizing the healthy side of the game, with Workout Modes that include calorie counters…
Konami takes its music games to MySpace
The MySpace invasion continues to expand throughout our society. The latest bandwagon hopper is Konami, which has created a special Konami Music Revolution page on MySpace.com. The new site has information on Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 2 (Wii), Dance Dance Revolution X (PS2), Dance Dance Revolution Universe 3 (Xbox 360), Rock Revolution (Xbox 360) and Karaoke Revolution Presents American Idol Encore 2 (Wii). It also has a Rock Revolution Rock the Revolution Song Contest and a DanceDanceRevolution webgame embedded into the page.
