It’s a de Blob Christmas

Whenever the holiday season approaches, videogame publishers tend to send out holiday themed cards and drawings to various media outlets. We have received one such card from THQ featuring de Blob, and we would like to share it with you.

Start the weekend with some new de Blob 2 footage

THQ sent along new media promoting de Blob 2 on the Wii and DS. The game is also coming out for the PS3, Xbox 360 and 3DS. What we have for you today isn’t a gameplay video. It’s more of a cinematic trailer that is filled with colorless blobs, a dream and karma. De Blob 2 is scheduled for release on February 22, 2011.

THQ and SyFy collaborate on Red Faction and Ghost Hunters Academy

THQ and SyFy are pretty good buddies. In February, 2010, the two companies arranged a mutually beneficial partnership that would help promote SyFy shows and THQ games. THQ’s Red Faction games, which have appeared on the GameCube, PS2, PS3, Xbox and Xbox 360 and both Mac and Windows PC, will be moving to the small screen. A two hour Red Faction movie is going to appear on SyFy, and it may even end up leading to a Red Faction TV series. SyFy will also help THQ produce the next entry in the Red Faction series.

Conversely, SyFy’s TV series Ghost Hunters Academy will be heading to the small screen…

THQ indicates de Blob will color again in (Wii?) sequel

With favorable reviews, de Blob has succeeded in achieving a feat that few titles on the Wii can claim: being a favorably-received third-party release. Considering that most Wii titles that are not developed by Nintendo tend to flounder, this is no small accomplishment. It should come as no surprise, then, that a sequel is inevitable.

THQ confirmed as much saying that…
