Pre-release DLC could become industry standard

Dead Rising 2: Case Zero has been immensely successful for Capcom. The Xbox 360 downloadable episode was purchased over 300,000 times for $5. Case Zero gave gamers a taste of Dead Rising 2, while allowing them to earn transferable experience and items. It’s no secret Case Zero was one step up from being a demo, but this may be something other game developers will adapt in the near future.

Dead Rising 2: Case West is a gift to Xbox 360 supporters

Dead Rising 2: Case West was announced during the Tokyo Game Show as a Xbox 360 exclusive. Before that, Dead Rising 2: Case Zero was exclusive to the Xbox 360 as well. This has led some PS3 owners to feel slighted by Capcom. After all, Dead Rising 2 is a multiplatform game. Capcom has defended itself by claiming it is not alienating PS3 owners since the main game can be played on both consoles.

Xbox Live Update for the Week of August 29 through September 4, 2010

The biggest news pertaining to Xbox Live this week is that its cost is going up. If you keep an eye out for deals from places such as Amazon though, it is pretty easy to get a cheaper price than even the $49.99 that it has been been going for.

Capcom’s bringing 9 games to PAX 2010

The 2010 Penny Arcade Expo is happening this week in Seattle, Washington, and if you registered for the event you can see a lot of Capcom’s newest games. It’s going on September 3-5, 2010, and booth 652 will have nine games set up for attendees to try out.
