Devil May Cry 4: Refrain is $1.99

People who enjoy iOS ports and adaptations of console games should probably head over to iTunes App Store today. Not only has Capcom’s Devil May Cry 4: Refrain launched, it’s appeared at a temporary bargain price. The game is an adaptation of the PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows game, which sounds like it does a pretty good job of replicating the experience of the full game. And even if it doesn’t, it’s only $1.99 for a short while. For that kind of price, you can’t lose…

Top ten lesser-known romantic couples in video games

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it reminds me of the romantic couples I’ve found in the video games I’ve played over the past years.

This is my top ten picks for the most romantic couples I’ve found while playing these games regardless of the genre or game, even if it was only a fleeting moment in a game’s time line.

I avoided obvious couples like Tidus and Yuna from Final Fantasy X and Squall and Rhinoa from Final Fantasy 8 and, instead, opted for lesser-known couples that seem to pass us by when we play.

If you have a lesser-known couple in your list feel free to list them in the comment box so their names will be known. Happy Valentine’s Day and enjoy the list…

Capcom ships more than 2 million copies of Devil May Cry 4

On February 20, 2008 Capcom announced that their latest installment of Devil May Cry 4 shipped more than two million copies of the game. It’s no wonder, since the game is awesome. I just finished the game and its simply a must-have for any collection. Since the release of the original Devil May Cry game in 2001, the entire series total sold more than 9 million copies.

The game released worldwide in February 2008 for the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 console systems and soon, according to Capcom’s news release, a version for the PC is on its way. Those who have enjoyed the first three Devil May Cry games will be…

Dante’s legion of anxiously awaiting fans will soon be rewarded, as Devil May Cry 4 should now be available in all major retailers. The latest entry in the series is available for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in both regular and collector’s editions. The regular edition just comes with the game and costs $59.99. The deluxe collector’s edition costs a bit more, at $79.99, but includes a metal case, four episodes of Devil May Cry: The Animated Series and a bonus DVD with music, art and a featurette showing how Devil May Cry 4 was made. The title is rated M for strong language and violence.

Playstation Store update for the week of January 21-27, 2008

This week at the Playstation Store, the obvious main attraction would be the demo for Devil May Cry 4, which is available for free.

Also of note in this week’s update is Jet Moto 2, the sequel to Singletrac’s Mountain Dew-ad loaded jetski racer. It really never improved upon any of the originals’ faults, since the slightest mistake in solo mode means that the AI skiers will lap you several times over with ease. Nevertheless, it’s still a lot of fun as a multiplayer game, especially at its price of $6.99.

That said, here’s a rundown of the total contents of this week’s update…
