Devil May Cry Collection will rock your world April 3, 2012

devil_may_cry_collection

While Capcom and Ninja Theory may be totally changing up Dante and his story with DmC: Devil May Cry, it’s proved that it isn’t going to completely banish the old Dante. The people who can’t bring themselves to get on board with new Dante, can instead relive the good old days with classic Dante on April 3, 2012. That’s when the Devil May Cry Collection will be released in both North America and Europe. It’s a convenient little PS3 or Xbox 360 disc that just so happens to have Devil May Cry 1-3 on it….

Capcom bundles first 3 Devil May Cry games into 1 HD collection

When all the rumors of an HD collection of all the previously released Devil May Cry games started swirling around, Capcom did everything possible to deny it and stay quiet on the subject. Which seems a bit odd, because it turns out the rumors were true. I mean, if you’re working on an HD collection of games, then be proud of it and just confirm immediately that a Devil May Cry HD Collection will be released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime in 2012. Which is exactlt what the Capcom has done now.

The Devil May Cry HD Collection contains remastered versions of Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2 and Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Special Edition….

Original Devil May Cry trilogy rated for PS3, Xbox 360

Well look what the ESRB dragged in. The first three Devil May Cry games have been rated once again. This time, they’ve been rated for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. They are all rated mature and this leads us to believe some kind of collection is on the way. Perhaps it will even be of the high definition variety.

E3 2011: DMC Devil May Cry details, trailer

A new trailer for DMC: Devil May Cry game was revealed at E3 2011. To say the least it looks interesting. It’s been a while since the last time we saw anything about the game, the last time being the Tokyo Game Show. Both the Tokyo Game Show and E3 trailers are below.

The core gameplay seems to have completely returned in a rather big way, since the later Devil May Cry games tried adding in things that detracted from the addictive nature of the game. This is especially true in terms of combat.

There’s a good reason Capcom changed Dante’s character design in DmC

Fans have been in an uproar over Dante’s new look in DmC. The arguments can essentially be boiled down to, “His hair isn’t white!” DmC is an origin story and a reboot to the long running franchise. We’ve only seen a handful of screenshots and a trailer for DmC. What has been released isn’t enough to make a definitive judgment on DmC. But that won’t stop fans from protesting. Perhaps Capcom’s explanation on why it changed Dante will make the public more receptive.

TGS 2010: New Devil May Cry, new Dante

While a lot of us were sleeping, the Tokyo Game Show was in full effect. Among the announcements comes a new Devil May Cry simply titled, DmC. This new game seems like a reboot of the franchise rather than a sequel or prequel. Dante looks younger, angrier and more vampire-like than before.

Bayonetta demo available early December 2009

The holidays are coming a little early this year for fans of brawler games.

The playable Bayonetta demo will be available for download on December 3, 2009, on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.

Bayonetta tells the story of a witch who is one of the last members of a dying order. After awaking from a 500-year nap, she finds herself being hunted down by hosts of angels. Fortunately for her, this really isn’t as much of an overkill as it sounds…

Be Dante on your Verizon phone

Verizon cell phones have received yet another exclusive game – Devil May Cry 3D. Devil May Cry 3D is, as the title insinuates, a mobile 3D version of the Capcom Devil May Cry games people have fallen in love with.

So Devil May Cry 3D has players guiding Dante through 50 missions as he hunts down Virgil, his villainous half-brother. Like in the consoles, players get to use his dual pistols and Devil Arms for attacks. There’s also a Challenge Mode, where players can try and race through 20 floors of enemies for bragging rights.

Devil May Cry 4 to hit PCs this summer

PC gamers will soon be able to get in on demon-slaying action – Capcom has just announced that Devil May Cry IV will be shipping to PC’s this summer. According to a company press release, the title will be preceded by a demo, and the PC version will have several new features, including a turbo more »
