Digimon Battle pre-beta registration open, game client available March 10

Digimon may not be as popular as it once was, but that could change after the launch of the forthcoming Digimon massive multiplayer online game, Digimon Battle. The beta’s going to be starting very soon, and WeMade Entertainment wants people to be prepared. So, if you’re interested, head over to the Digimon Battle site and preregister for the beta!

It’s really quite easy to create a Digimon Battle account. Just visit the site and click the “Are You New?” button on the right side of the screen below the account log-in boxes, then fill out the necessary information at the WeMade page that link takes you to. Then, all you have to do is wait until the game client is available. It won’t take too long. The client will be available from the site between March 10 and 16, 2010. Plus, if you start playing during the beta, you’ll get a free Frontier Starter Kit with 10 jump gates, 10 vigor floppy discs and 10 recovery floppy discs.

While you’re waiting for March 10, you may want to spend some time learning about how Digimon Battle is played. It’s based on Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, Digimon Tamers and Digimon Frontier, so you’ll see a lot of the digimon monsters from those seasons of the anime in the game. The Guide section has some great information about the game and characters, and even has a starter guide to assist you with your first time playing…

Digimon World Championship shows off its gold at E3

The Digimon series has always seemed to take a backseat to Pokemon, but it showed at E3 that it still manages to get fans excited. Namco Bandai revealed at E3 that Digimon World Championship for the Nintendo DS has already gone gold. The latest game will focus on Digimon breeding and battling, and will also offer local and Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection multiplayer support.

Digimon World Championship makes players Digimon Tamers. You have to hunt them down in the Digital World, capture them by force (weapons and traps are mentioned), train them, breed them and then unleash them against friends or in 50 in-game competitions. The game will feature over 200 Digimon, which should make battling interesting.
