Doritos Crash Course wins Unlock Xbox challenge

At the beginning of December, Microsoft asked everyone to download the two finalists in the Unlock Xbox challenge. The two remaining contestants were Harms Way, and Doritos Crash Course. The public has spoken, and Doritos Crash Course has emerged as the victor.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker sold out (and not in a good way)

Konami may have gone overboard with its forthcoming PSP game Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. The company has basically turned it into a game/advertising vessel. Players won’t just be experiencing Naked Snake’s latest adventures, they’ll also be learning how Axe body spray can heal you and getting a taste of the Monster Hunter series.

Konami and Hideo Kojima held a Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker event in Tokyo to reveal information about the game, but it seemed like the bulk of it dealt with all of the commercial tie-ins. While the Assassin’s Creed II collaboration doesn’t seem too farfetched, the other inclusions seem ridiculous and unnecessary. This is especially true since the game takes place in 1974 and many of these products didn’t exist then…

Pick which player will be front and center on Madden NFL 11′s box

EA Games is giving fans a small degree of control over Madden 11. At least, over Madden 11‘s appearance. EA is teaming up with Doritos for the Doritos Presents: Change the Game website, which allows people to visit every day to pick the football player that will appear on the cover of Madden 11. You have to hurry though as voting closes March 15, 2010.

The are three players to pick from, the Colt’s Reggie Wayne, the Saint’s Drew Brees and the Vikings’ Jared Allen…

Doritos’ Unlock Xbox contest

Doritos announced a partnership with the Xbox 360 to hold the “Unlock Xbox” contest for fans to design the first ever consumer-created Xbox Live Arcade game.
